I've heard this coping mechanism way too many times on signing days of yore. It always has the kid wanting so badly to be a Buckeye, but the big mean parents won't allow it. Oh if only the mean parents would just let the kid choose for him, he'd definitely be a Buckeye in the end.

From what I've read and the interviews I've seen, he is one of the most self-motivated people in the game. If he thinks he's ready, there's certainly no basis for me to dispute that. I think he'll be successful and, echoing everyone's thoughts above, USF is a great jumping off point from which to come back when/if the timing is right. It could well be that HC experience is just the box that he was told was requisite and he was missing, but I really would've liked another year with him as OC.

Given that we’ve lost Dixon-Wyatt and Bey, I would think that the delay here is just about bag enhancement, which we now have more room for, being negotiated. Having lost those two, I would think we’ll come through and get this done.
