Lots of accidental slips by ESPN folk this week. During the Iowa Vandy game the announcers accidentally said twice that "both teams want to be here in this game"
I don't know if it's possible for there to ever be another Saban-like run. But clearly he's an excellent coach. You can't smoke and mirrors your way to a season like this.
What's puzzling is he is positioning himself in a class of one (himself) among current coaches, pending the outcome of this tournament, and he's doing that at Indiana. AI just told me Indiana spent only $10M on NIL for their football team this season. Including rev sharing and financial contributions.
Yep the old gauntlet. I like how they use a 5-7 bad Auburn team as the example though. Almost forgot Barn was only 5-7 cause SEC though and probably woulda been a 10 win team anywhere else

I'm not skeptical for this year since they are obviously legit. But I'm wondering if Cig is just thriving on one-and-done portal talent this year and last, or if he will be the new Saban for years to come.

A consequence of not winning the B1G was getting matched up with a fired up Cryami team playing with not a lot of pressure. Meanwhile Indiana gets a reeling to stay relevant at a high level Bama team who is playing with a ton of pressure and the coaches and players are playing with the ass cheeks clinched because of it.

I know people are gonna try to use this to "prove" that the layoff causes no harm but that's just disingenuous at this point. 1 win with most of the losses being ugly losses is still where we stand with the BYE teams.
