Watching the first Game Time With Ryan Day of the season on WBNS 10TV. (I wish the coach’s show was still on Sunday mornings after the game but that’s beside the point.)
Interviews with James Peoples and Sonny Styles. Peoples is a sophomore and was very measured in his answers. What he learned from Henderson and Judiins, handling business and taking coaching. Listening to his coaches was repeated multiple times. It was obvious that listening to coaching on doing interviews was also on his mind. He sounded good but also young. Maybe not nervous, per se, but careful.
Styles otoh was relaxed and confident. He didn’t even bother wearing shoes to the interview, showing up in his stocking feet. He talked about Matt Patricia’s qualifications and coaching. I hear a lot of positive things and that’s a big question mark for me going into the season. I’m anxious to see how the D performs today and I’m glad Sonny is going to be out there. He also talked about how he still needs to win a pair of gold pants. How his dad has one and how Coach Laurinaitis shows off his. That sounded real good.
Also, Tyvis Powell has been added to the Game Time crew. He’s awesome and I’ve been enjoying every step on his broadcasting journey from when I first heard him on the radio calling high school games. Next step BTN?
