2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

We still haven’t seen the Stallions NOI. With the associated lawsuits, I assume they’ll bury this infraction document in a deep hole.

Can’t fathom the penalties - three strikes and you’re out?
NOI is the "Notice of Inquiry" - formal notice from the NCAA that they are beginning an investigation.

NOA = "Notice of Allegations," a final investigative report and charginf document.

Fortunately, we have the chance to get to know both in the coming weeks.

Clarity: tonight's reporting was that a new NOI was *coming*, not delivered.

This is quickly approaching something that they have to consider writing a check big enough for this to all go away prior to the discovery we all would love to see.

First two plaintiffs of what is estimated to be a minimum of a couple of thousand… and the potential for this to be rolled to class-action status? Their board has to be asking how much to make it all go away?
Easy, close the University and donate the endowment to Bernard Rubble.

NCAA sent TCUN a new NOI. BS reported.

Nothing truly different from BS if anyone missed/is missing the show - it’s still going, but based on them (but really PD here)… there is at least an NOI being sent to UM regarding Wiess
… they did say that PSU is the second team that’s been rumored to have raised a concern regarding UM accessing their systems - not MSU… though that’s interesting I sort of get the impression that if all of this is true that we are going to learn way more schools were impacted both inside and outside the B1G… I just don’t see it being limited to just two schools if it did happen

For fairness and clarity, Ken and I collaborated on this development. We broke here this morning that a 2nd B1G school has reported a video access breach to the conference. I had lots of information supporting my conclusion that it was PSU but couldn't get it flatly confirmed for my liking. Ken and I hooked up and they were able to satisfactorily confirmed and reportable.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

The only player I don't want at 2 is Sanders. Another fucking clown show isn't what these doofuses need. If, but the grace of God, they don't draft Sanders, I can see them drafting McCord because, Cleveland. Or as Tib...er...Daimon said "Clevburg"

The worst part is, he has a nice skillset mentally and physically on-field. If he could drop the WWF style commentary that just pushes his "brand" then I wouldn't have much complaint.

*If*

Um...yeah. OK. This would be...really something :slappy:

Shock report claims the Browns and Cowboys are negotiating a trade for Dak Prescott

I'm *sure* that it's a "darn good source". The cost alone, regardless of what might be recovered from the Watson policy, would be absurd.

When you give Dak a decent Oline and solid running game, he can make it work. When you can't? He's somewhere between 2019 and 2020 Baker. Which means he's capable but then he'll do dumb shit for every 1 thing he does right.

Another application of why I think it actually serves the Universities to legally separate themselves from their professional sports teams.

While they are both under one roof, how do have big money coming into the sports program via NIL and going out the door at the University because the school got it's ass sued off due to liability incurred because of the football team?

University gets back to it's mission of education and research, it still makes a ton of money toward that end by licensing deals with the legal entity that is the professional sports team using the schools brand. Professional sports entity does what professional sports entities do.

It's business 101 for a reason. It would stop the contagion from a football scandal spilling into the functioning of the University in a case like this.
