Let's not forget that this year, Day also beat Scum, has OSU in the conference championship and will probably get a bye regardless of the result.

But he didn't win the recruiting championship.

Nah coach Cig has toned down a lot this year. His comment was he was loud last year because he had to be to get attention for IU.

Seriously let him go if it’s Oregon. If he was only committed to OSU because of Hartline that’s not exactly strong feelings for OSU.

We were always hanging on by a thread. If he chooses Oregon then so be it because no HS player is worth Tate money year one unless you’re JJ Smith and he’s not that.

As I said a few pages back and Birm confirmed… we are likely going to go hard after a player or two in the portal. Imagine if we land someone like Ryan Williams for example (just using as an example). With the #1 and # 2 players in the draft back next year we will have kids beating down a door to play opposite Jeremiah because whoever that is? That kid is also going in the first round because they’re getting single covered every single rep next year.

IMO either way we are in great shape.

I was thinking about this driving to work as I was cycling through team items because I’m obsessed with our squad.

For someone that has performed as well as any tackle statistically in the country what am I missing as it relates to draft chatter? Is it physical measurement?

Bouzakis has already exceeded my expectations. I would not have believed he would be down to weight and wrestling really well in Nov. at the first competition of the year. I like McCrone. No complaints about him. A couple head scratching losses but Bouzakis has his share as well. Bouzakis has a bigger upside I feel, but he can't beat McCrone or hasn't. I don't believe Bouzakis was able to get any NF points which shouldn't matter when you TF someone, but it does. I believe McCrone gets NF and possibly a fall if he had wrestled...

Geog beat Correa at Clarion who I believe is going to be a force, then gets a decision against a guy he should be outclassing by miles.
Liber being a Toledo kid coming into CBUS with no one giving him a chance competed at a level that we as fans love to see. Taking that into consideration...It's early and if Geog keeps the spot he must be beating Shumate convincingly in the room.

“Culture” is a word Day throws around a lot and I think it applies here well.

OSU certainly plays the NIL game, but I think they’re pretty fair in how they operate. Getting ultra-aggressive on CH Jr. prob isn’t worth rocking the boat on what they’ve created.

Would’ve loved to have landed him, but if CH Jr. doesn’t see what OSU brings to the table, I think we’re more than justified moving on….

There are going to be some studs dying to play the role of Carnell Tate next year…..

It would be in their best interest to try but then again, it's not who they are.

Do you change something that foundational in a week? I'm not sure.

With the amount of studs leaving after this year, there will be a lot of money freed up for high level transfers.
