Jake Diebler (Head Coach)

Agree with most of the above - He's proven to get the 'jimmies and the joes', now he has to accomplish the 'Xs and the Os'. But remember, he's got a plethora of assistant coaches on the bench with him, and mayhaps some of this falls on them for non-performance, or mediocre performance. I know, everything falls on Diebs, as it should, but results should dictate more and better financial support. PS, anyone know how the attendance is, so far this year, for men's and woman's basketball?

ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

Agreed. Protect the cash flow, invest to keep that flowing, and look around to see where to invest the excess to gain the largest returns. That's corporate economics 101. Can certainly apply to college sports, but without that certitude of the returns. Hope that the NIL that went to mens basketball last year, was kept after the Duke and Kentucky xfers left after mediocre years. Guess Diebs has to whip the Buckeyes home in the Dance to achieve a 'raise' in NIL funding. Results begats more $, or somesuch.

Ohio State vs. West Virginia (in Cleveland), Saturday Dec. 13, 8pm EST, ESPNU

Truly believe that we saw the 'coming out' of Bynum. Thornton did what he does...and does it cool as a cucumber. Don't see any extra effort, but he's always in the right place. Bynum added a dimension to the offense. A follow-up slammer, is something longed for, but not readily seen from the Buckeyes. (Unless it's from the other team). Again, WVA was hitting 3's from incredible places, and tOSU was bungling bunnies all night. But, on the positive side, tOSU was making free throws! Like a team should. And tOSU showed some heart. Devin playing most of second half with four fouls, AND staying in the game. Huge. Liked the Tilly/Knowles substitution, early and often, keeping them fresh. Mobley did his share, but made some unfortunate, head-scratching fouls throughout. Anyway, on to the next. Look at the standings, and the B10 has more than several teams ranked, so far this year. Go Bucks!

Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Reading yesterday and this morning about the Bengals being adamant in not clearing the snow from the seats in Paycor Stadium.
I agree with most of what is being put out there. But this Mo Egger tween is especially relevant:

Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Well, these tune-up games are designed for what Bestbuck notes. Work on chemistry, get the offensive/defensive schemes some play, and have a bit of fun. Yeah, league will be a grind, but that's only because the B10 is so very strong on the women's side. FWIW, most of these 'body-bag' games are made up of people tOSU wouldn't look at twice. And coach isn't a center-centric kinda coach. He's made his bones with small, good shotting guards, and full-court press. Elsa is gaining confidence, and the blondie is working hard as well. Still getting out-rebounded, and remember, Jaloni, and the other sweet shooting guards ain't-a-gonna make 'em all. Sooo, need some tall timber to crash the boards (offensive as well). And if can't get to it, let those small, quick guards fall back against opponent's fast break. Remember, going from guard to guard position is a whole lot shorter than frontcourt to frontcourt, both distance and timewise.

Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Perhaps.....just Perhaps, Burrow is trying to get Zac fired?
And get who, LOL!? You really trust this FO to hire someone competent and that would stand up to Brown/Blackburn? I just don't see it, Taylor is paid so little that I couldn't see another HC taking this job without a double in what Taylor makes. Or they just hire another young up and coming position coach because it's cheap. Idk how anyone could think that this FO would actually make a solid hire

2027 TX RB SaRod Baker (Verbal Offer)

Not gonna be a 3* for long. 247 has him at 5’9 but this profile at 5’11 makes a lot more sense. With that speed and size he’s going to be able to go basically anywhere he wants, but also has good vision and seems like a real football player.
I think the 247 profile was from Frosh or Soph years. I usually go by twitter profiles, as that's usually been the most accurate.
And you're right, great combo of size, speed and vision. Idk how he gets out of TX if not SEC country, his ratings will blow up very soon especially playing in the biggest division in TX and dominating.

RB TreVeyon Henderson (National Champion, New England Patriots)

I wouldn't go that far. Vrable has basically been forced to play him, and even then he doesn't do it fully.

I don’t know why Vrabel has been hesitant to start him over Stephenson, but I can tell you as someone who lives in Maine and works a lot in Massachusetts, Patriot fans are loving Henderson. Maybe he’s been saving him for the playoffs, keeping him healthy? But he’s showing even as a rookie he will get the needed results to help the team.

2026 TX RB Legend Bey is a Buckeye!!!

Thought Day, Pantoni, whomever was supposed to charm the mama. Only to get her vote for the Buckeyes. Apparently they were 'out-wowed' by the Tennecheat staffers....maybe that should be part of the annual evaluations? And maybe an inservice or three? Hope the kid is worth the trouble...
Honestly I hope OSU never has to resort to paying off mom or any family members to secure a player.

I don't even think this kid is trouble at all for OSU, he actually WANTS to be a Buckeye! I'd want an entire roster of kids who were willing to disagree with their family in order to be a Buckeye. Last thing I'd want is for a kid to be forced to play for a program. If anything, Tenn should be asking themselves if he was worth it to even take a signature from(when they knew it was forged) a kid who clearly wants to go elsewhere. He had his signing table at HS adorned completely with OSU paraphernalia. And I'm sure he took a paycut to want to be a Buckeye, and mom probably has to give back some if not all of the money to Tenn. Not sure how anyone wouldn't want that kid as a Buckeye if he's willing to piss off his family and an entire fanbase in Knoxville
