I didn't see this until just now, but according to B1G coaches, the Ohio State job was ranked 7th-best in the league, just ahead of Oregon. Kind of a wake-up call if you think that just about any coach will come here. Perception matters.

i love that we get every game like this now.
for years we would subscribe to LSU’s website to watch every home game there.

was really good quality for being a completely in house production.

but now through ESPN/SECNet it’s all in glorious HD.

Looks like several matches went into overtime, plus a few were won 4-2, and most of all, the latter parts of the line-up came through in the 'gotta win' category. Certainly a team victory. Go Bucks! Might this be a key point in the indoor?

Wasn't able to watch, but read the write-ups, and yeah, sounds like 3-4 matches turned on last minute heroics/stumbles. Not enough to change outcome, but to at least see the PSU taillights. OK, so Ryan has to go around, building up bruised egos, etc for the Buckeyes, and get those that need it, well. Would rather see others get the mattime, rather than send someone out that's not operating at 100%, and risk further injury. Would imagine that the kids sitting out were hurting about that decision as well. Go Bucks!

Would imagine tOSU's two-deep is a deeper one than SMU's. Ergo, the kid has a better chance to get off the pine there. Certainly an enticement to go play for a lesser school. Cannot fathom what goes through a recruit, being 18 and all, coming out of HS, and having all these programs tell him that he's all that and a bag of chips. Guess certain things resonate with certain players. We seem to be doing 'well' with the not-so-elite 5*s, with enough upside (that with position coaching and body shaping) could crack the starting line-up that they're worth the risk/cash.

First — thank you to everyone who helped keep the lights on. Because of you, we’ve made real progress.

We’ve officially raised enough upfront support to transition from resurrecting BP to sustaining it. That’s huge. What felt dire a short time ago now feels possible — and that’s because of this community.

BP has always been more than a site. It’s a collection of wildly different perspectives, personalities, and situations. Some of you post daily. Some of you lurk quietly. Some of you show up once in a while. Every single one of you matters here. This place works because of the mix.

Where We Stand

You responded with upfront support and that got us through the transition. Now the goal is stability.

Our ongoing cost is $425/month, which covers hosting, infrastructure, and operations. Right now, we are not covered on recurring support. Without consistent monthly backing, we’ll be back in uncertainty fast.

While we are grateful for one time or annual gifts, monthly support is strongly preferred — it allows us to plan confidently across the year and handle surprises without scrambling.

The Ask

If you can give a little — you’re important.
If you can give a lot — you’re important.
If you can’t give right now — you’re still important.

We just ask that you do what you can. We haven’t set a monthly per person giving amount because we truly are a collection of wildly different perspectives, personalities, and situations.

We strive to create a virtual sports bar where members can debate, sometimes passionately, all things Buckeye, with plenty of space for interesting off-topic chat. We are a totally free site with no membership fees, but we do rely on crowdfunding to keep the lights on and the taps flowing. We don’t want anyone to feel pressure to come up with a monthly gift that may not comfortably fit their situation.

Conversely if some of you who are willing and able to give more than the perceived average (because no one knows how many will actually donate at this time) it will dramatically increase the long term stability of BP, not to mention giving you more of that all important and life changing vCash.

If enough of us commit to regular monthly contributions, the entire year becomes secure.
