I love this and agree with it.
Prolly my fav player on defense not named CalebMy TBG player of the week. Dude did it all - run, hit, cover, tackle.

Complete performance as a corner.
I care a lot about OSU's place in the history of the game, and a lot of that history involves great consistency and not as much top end success as there should be (1969, 1973, 1996, 1998, 2015, etc.), so to me these games mean a lot in that context. Also, while this game was hardly life or death, I do think that losing it would have left us with a more than negligible chance of missing the playoff, and I have virtually no stress about that now. I also am always more chill for a while after a natty resets the program clock. And even more so in this case since Day is young, has now proven that he can do, and seems to be hungry for more right where he is. I'm no longer sweating that he's not the guy and that ten years without a natty might turn into twenty before we know it.I'll put this here; the transformation of CFB to NFL-ish has affected me much quicker than I thought could ever happen.
I never stressed that Texas game leading up all summer because I knew it didn't really matter for playoffs (we weren't done if we lost) and neither are they.
It was fun, a win is always better than a loss, we got to see all the new players and coaches etc but it felt like a week 1 win in the NFL. Nice, but there are miles to go.....
anyone else?

It's in the article, but I'd like to highlight Nate Roberts making the most of his one play by making the block that kept Donaldson from getting blown up in the backfield on his touchdown.Who played against Texas you ask:

I didn’t realize it until she just posted it on her IG but my buddy and her son are the ones in front of the DEdmond sign. Her son is ironically a freshman at Appalachian State and she’s an OSU alum. So cool that they got to make it on Gameday and went viral online
That’s so true, and a reason why I was so baffled that so many OSU fans were against this hire. He’s not the HC, but the DC and he’s coached some of the best defenses at the highest level, and learned from arguably the GOAT NFL coach. He won’t see one QB or even offense in college that will be more complex than anything he’s seen before. If oSU were to lose a game, I can see it being due to offensive players just making plays and being better in general. But scheme wise, I just don’t see many being able to fool him in a schematic way and Sark is at the top of the heap.
Oh no, it's a learning curve. That kid didnt look like he could process he reads nor read a defense. Not sure it’s a learning curve.
Seemed more like an accuracy/footwork issue.
If he keeps it up, he'll reach his full potential, which is incredibly high. I think most of us knew that, but needed to see it first. And when we saw him in coverage it never seemed like he was beat or draping himself over their WRs. He and those who worked with him in the off season should be congratulated for that kind of change in how he plays. Love that he played within himself yet maintained the things that make him great.
Well earned. Really fun to see him turning into the player I thought he would be from watching his HS film...he was a sure fire 5* to me but it doesn't matter once they hit the field.
