Is that really an interesting point?
Well, yeah. The Sith won. Until they lost.Well I'm looking at it from the standpoint it ends up killing the protagonists. At that point everything was favoring the imperials...

Anyone else think this is lining up for Belichick to bow out mid season? This team is awful
Yes my son. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul. And also love your neighbor as yourself.Jesus Christ tell us how you really feel
They better hope the NCAA gives Brady some more eligibilityWow, UNC fans are bringing up the fact that Bill Belichick went 5-11 in his first year with the Patriots and won the Super Bowl in his second.
Good luck with that.

The Ohio State football team must figure out a way to run the ball better
Ohio State wasn't able to figure out a way to run the ball at all in the opening game. Surprisingly, CJ Donaldson got the start in this game. He did score a touchdown, but ran it 19 times for only 67 yards. That's just 3.5 yards a carry, which is not good enough.
Donaldson was by far the better of the two backs that the Buckeyes trotted out. James Peoples was horrendous, putting up just 20 yards on 10 carries. He was constantly stuffed at the line and never came close to breaking out for a big run. His longest run was just six yards.
The offensive line has to bear some responsibility for that. They were fantastic in pass protection, but they simply couldn't move Texas off the line of scrimmage in the run game. Texas has a very solid defensive line, so the Longhorns certainly deserve some credit for that.
It seems like Ethan Oniwanwa is a total bust as a transfer portal player. He played 15 snaps at right guard and wasn't good in any of them. He was supposed to play left tackle, but it looks like he can't play any position up front. It's a horrendous development for someone who got paid a lot of NIL money.
It's highly unlikely that the running game remains this poor throughout the season. The Buckeyes will be able to figure it out and have this offense running like a well-oiled machine. Still, this is something to watch over the next few weeks.
How old am I? I was in the stadium fall of 1965 when they played Snoopy for the first time.
Regarding the 2 changes in traditions:
I don’t like ringing the ‘Victory Bell’ before the game, but when they showed Archie on the live video feed to the scoreboard nobody was going to voice much disapproval. So at least having him do it was a smart move.
They constantly reminded fans with an energetic guy live on the scoreboard video to be loud whenever Texas had the ball, and that worked well. The student section in the end zone was as good as I’ve ever seen it,
The band playing Hang On Sloopy at the end of the third quarter has been a tradition for about 60 years. I missed that, and I can’t even remember what was going on for those couple of minutes. The band did play the song less than 2 minutes of game time later, right after Tate’s outstanding TD catch. And it was a blast to hear that right after the TD.
If their WRs are twice as good as last year, they’d still be average. I’m sure their TEs will be the ones making plays against good competition.
