You're not wrongI'll put this here; the transformation of CFB to NFL-ish has affected me much quicker than I thought could ever happen.
I never stressed that Texas game leading up all summer because I knew it didn't really matter for playoffs (we weren't done if we lost) and neither are they.
It was fun, a win is always better than a loss, we got to see all the new players and coaches etc but it felt like a week 1 win in the NFL. Nice, but there are miles to go.....
anyone else?

A lot of great points made. Even though it's just one game, it shows how to two DCs drastically use their talent. One has a system, and his players HAVE to fit in the system or they won't work and won't play, hence why it takes multiple years to see success. The other has a system that can altered to the strengths of the players that he has. Think about how CJ Hicks was wasted along with trying Sawyer in the "Jack". Seems like Patricia will utilize guys where they can fit, and not force square pegs into round holes. This will help immensely going forward
Why can't people retire in a timely manner?
yesterday was an embarrassment

And coached in an era when they played less games per year. Most Kirk Ferentz milestone ever. Woody had less than half the number of losses (61) when he got to 205.
I can hear Rinaldi marveling at the way Arch holds a clipboard as I type this.If there is anything the Texas fans didn't know going in to yesterday that they have learned since, it is this:
The name of their backup QB.
