No. People were upset with Patricia because he was famously a dickhead to everyone in Detroit and because nobody from the Belichick tree has ever amounted to anything.

This hate is because Arthur Smith would have to increase his IQ score 200 points to be considered stupid. I can't possibly think of a worse hire. I'd be as upset or more with somebody like Sherrone because of the fuckery surrounding him.....but pure football-wise, this is dead last on the list of who I'd rather have. I'd rather have Bollman.

Some noteworthy Arthur Smith moments in Atlanta.

1). Was entirely responsible (along with GM) and trying to lure Deshaun Watson from Houston. The deal was done, but Cleveland swooped in the last minute, offered an additional first round draft pick and fully guaranteed his contract.

2). As such immediately pissed off franchise icon, Matt Ryan, and had him request a trade.

3). Drafted Desmond Ridder

4). Started Desmond Ridder

5). One time in an important football game against Tampa, the falcons had it on fourth down on the opponents 2 yard line. Rather than hand the ball to Tyler Algier or Bijan Robinson, he ran a jet sweep to a tight end, who then threw to another tight end, and the pass was incomplete and we lost by 4. Neither the passer nor the receiver on that particular play was Kyle Pitts.

Arthur Smith is a fucking moron. I would rather have Parker Flemming back at special teams. Fuck, I'd rather have him as OC. I'd rather have Joe Bauserman at QB. I'd rather have Urban's bff coaching LBs again. This is an absolutely collosal mistake. For Jeremiah's last season? What a massive disappointment. This ruined my weekend.

2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

I am looking at it like this:

-Day’s playbook.
-Will call plays so Day can be CEO again.
-Not likely to leave five days before conference title game.
-May be run heavy but let’s not pretend he didn’t have WR’s put up good numbers even with the shitty QB’s he was saddled with in the NFL.
-To the run heavy thing…I’d be happy to see some tweaks to OSU’s run game especially in the redzone and I’m thinking so is Day.

Lastly, Day gets the benefit of the doubt from me. And I’m hardcore Lunatic Fringe. But one area Day has owned is coaching hires.
