2025 Polls

The AP voters did even better this week. Ole Piss jumped Oregon this week due to their gutsy win over the citadel.
That could be due to voter laziness. Many of these voters take the previous poll and then just move teams around based on that week’s losses or big game results.

But this week some of those voters would have started with last week’s CFP rankings (where Oregon was #9), instead of last week’s AP rankings.

2025 Heisman Trophy Discussion

I believe Julian is still the betting favorite at +180 and Mendoza is +185. Jeremiah is 6th at +5000 lol.
The play before Mendoza’s ”Heisman moment”, he was hit and the ball went tantalizingly toward the line of scrimmage, managung to hit the turf in the middle of 3 different Pedsters, all just a couple of yards away. Had that ball taken a slightly different path, he would have ended the day with 2 picks and no TD passes and would have dropped out of the top-2 in the betting. But Gus and most casual viewers overreacted to Mendoza’s chances when Cooper made a great catch to stay inbounds by about a quarter of an inch.

It will still very probably be decided at the CCG in Indy.

2025 Polls

Tennessee still ranked with 3 losses and their best win being against Mississippi State. The SEC effect at its finest. They'll likely be in the CFP top 25 Tuesday as well

Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

My belief is that once players get to Cincinnati, they quickly realize ownership has no real interest in winning. They are simply not invested in it the way other clubs are.

Once they come to this realization, they stop trying themselves. They get lazy and eventually decide, Why try hard? Ownership isn't.

And this mindset manifests itself on the field. Players no longer give it their all. They take plays off. They're unwilling to throw their bodies into the game. After all, why risk injury for an organization that isn't risking much itself?

This is why you see the sloppy tackling. The poor discipline. The lack of effort. Players are simply not going to put everything into the game for an organization that isn't fully invested in winning.

I can't say I completely blame them.
