Low entry NIL, and gets bigger as one performs...appears that we're losing the back-ups that are expected to move into the two -deep. Also, that this portal entrying may be a ploy to force tOSU into paying them more money now, rather than waiting. To see some of these guys bolt, with the prospect of playing next year very real, is/has gotta be disheartening for Day & Co (as certainly is for armchair coaches like me). Am certainly not in the know, so merely hypothicating as to why. Please direct me to any thread that puts this out there.....PS, do see how some of the guys want to 'get theirs' now, rather than putting in the time, when the Buckeyes then recruit players, either HS or portal, over them. Appears we've lost most of our back-up WRs, DBs, and RBs.

Faheem made a wise business decision with the negotiating power in his corner due to Downs leaving.

I may not like it but if he were my son, I would advise him to use the portal for leverage if possible.

What I always respected about the dead was that they didn't wear costumes or have some specific look or gimmick, they just jammed.

I'm with you, I don't think we expected it simply because of numbers. We had to have most of these guys start or be regular contributors. Now we've gotta scramble to have a semblance of what we saw last year on defense. Reese and Downs had to be presumed to be gone, but the rest of the departures are concerning if we don't kill it in the portal.

This one hits hard. After countless years and many shows, the end of an era. Bill and Mickey are still with us but the big three are gone. Good thing the band(s) allowed taping, so the catalog will live on long after we are gone. My 37 and 35 year old boys were carted off as infants, toddlers and adults to dead shows and all the post Jerry bands, and they are as sad as I am. God speed Bobby. What a long strange trip it has been.

I’ll put that $10 and whatever other money that folks would donate into my Grandkids college fund.

I used to go to a game ever year and do all the game stuff. Anymore that 3 day weekend cost a small fortune that I have better ways to spend.

For me the game is broken now and not really about guys being Buckeyes or Hoosiers or whoever you root for.

This honestly was said by Day a few times during the season when there were constant questions about Mylan playing(or lack of PT). I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, your HS stars don’t matter in college. JJ isn’t the best WR in the country because he was a 5star in HS. He outworks everyone on the team and in the country and is always wanting to get better and is focused on his craft. There were rumors about Graham not remembering plays during the game, texting and snap chatting during games, doesn’t sound like a focused player. But someone who enjoyed the spot light but not the work . He’s now being predicted to ND, and Hartline is also a no nonsense HC, and he also has no problem sitting him if he doesn’t work
