Heard he was plastic surgeon in SF, didn't realize he'd migrated to hair loss doc. Still in SF? Always thought he played pros to put aside funds to pay for med school, then quit to become doctor.

And to think that when he commited to tOSU, he was the 'throw-in' with the shooter, the rebounder and the ball handler. He's done himself proud. Good for him.

Every production line (industry) has a 'bottleneck'. That means that when everything flows well, one point is the thing that holds the line from going gang busters. Every production/assembly line has one. Using that simile, the Buckeye offense has an elite WR group, a much better than average RB group, and a QB that produced an almost 70% success ratio. That leaves the OL as the bottleneck. Everyone above has tabbed the OL as the problem, and yeah, Bowen's the figurehead, and yeah, the players have to execute. Heck, we've seen OL players get replaced, and then drafted by the NFL! And they practice against a darn good DL. Lack of talent? Everyone of them are very serviceable. Superstars, nope. Everyone has their flaws. Need better coaching? Hard to say. Teamwork? Chemistry? Injuries? Have zero answers, but hope they perform well enough to get the job done, keep Sayin upright, and give the WRs time to break free. And let us not forget to open holes for the RBs and get to the second level. An early Monday rant

Absolutely baffles me how Jeremiah has not received the Biletnikoff (sp) award yet. He's done all of it, catches, TDs, YAC, big plays, that you'd want to see in a WR, and of course, helps the team win games, with the 'big catch'. Of course, I have a myopic view of the world, centered around the Buckeyes, and not an all-worldly one. Maybe this is the year?

And this will be his third OC in three seasons. Cannot see any major changes being made by Smith, probably mostly tweaks, rather than directional changes. Kinda like the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mode. We always hear, that the TE will get more involved, and we'll do the RPO more, or hit the underneath receiver who's at speed type of things. Maybe the OC will give formations that look like pass, but are runs, and vice versa. Dunno. Just going to enjoy the show. tOSU can/will out talent most of the B10, and hopefully show well in it's only major OOL game, Texas, and then await the playoffs, where the caliber of team we're facing is on the same level as the Buckeyes. Yeah, seems like the only 'ballyhooing' done is by the Buckeye beat writers. Nothing national that I can see. But lest we forget, Arvell wasn't exactly a household name before his break-out year that saw him go from a 'no-name' to a top 5 draft choice. There's been top flight talent put on the field, and they have pedestrian play, and get replaced by the #2, who goes on a rampage all over the place. Would be alot easier if there were a fool-proof crystal ball with the answer already written. Such is life. Anyone still have a working '8-ball' that gives you an answer when you tip it over?

Thought Chip was the stay at home, come visit me type of guy. And guess that getting a verbal from Ryan's son is not the be-all, end-all for NW. tOSU QB room is/will be a bit empty after this year, assuming that Sayin goes pro, and the other senior QB uses up final eligibility. That would leave Tavien and Brady, plus what, 2(?) walk-ons? Certainly, for safety reasons, have another this year, and another next. Always good to have another QB on the shelf, to be opened in case of emergency.

Apparently his time at tOSU was just 'not that great'.

1. UVa finished 28-4 and won the National Championship. Two of those losses were to Ohio State.
