'26 FL PF Joe Philon (UCLA Verbal)

Last successful 6'8" PG can remember was Magic. And he was magic. But coaches seem to have a knack of sorting out skills, and matching them to positions on the floor. And with the rotations these days, have seen 5's at top of key, and 1-2's down low. Very fluid. What am babbling to say, putting a kid in a box doesn't mean they stay there, with the way players rotate.

Well, did go back to my HS (Whetstone) once upon a time, and looked in the trophy case, and nary a mention of our legendary '67 sports exploits. So, yeah get that. But an athletic powerhouse such as Aquinas must have a 'look at who played here' wall/case with pictures of all the outstanding athletes that went here. Rhetorical observation only. Am certain that list would be long and storied.

FB Matt Snell (National Champion, Super Bowl Champion, R.I.P.)

RIP Matt.I was in the service from '61 to '65 so i didnt get to any games in the Shoe but i was always following the Buckeyes. I watched Snell and the Buckeyes as much as I could and Matt was a hard charger just like Woody wanted on both sides of thr ball.
All the good RB's were out of Woody's mold , both halfbacks and full backs.
