the LOIC talk is silly....this came out because of the investigation and Posey hasnt played since being suspended and neither has Herron and much of what they did was after suspension....they havnt played thank God

The problem with that is they are still members of the football team who are on the roster and practicing.

My question is at what point of this investigation has anything said to you, "oh, the AD has control of this situation"? I sincerely hope I'm dead wrong but where is any control?

5% of the people in this world all honest as the day is long
80% of the people are basically honest but you have to put processes in place to keep them honest because when opportunity meets need and you don't have said processes in place you are going to be in a world of hurt. In other words you are keeping the honest people, honest.
10% of the people on this earth are inherently dishonest. Does not matter what you do they are still are going to try to steal, scam or lie/con their way into your pocketbook.

What did you do with the other 5% of the population? :tinfoil::tinfoil:

How many PC's does a AD have to gve before he admits failure in the compliance Dept...
The only thing I can think of is that the initial plan was to place blame on Tress and the Tat-5 and have Smith be the one making the decisions on how to discipline in an attempt to dodge LOIC or FTM. I do not believe Gene was oblivious to what was going on, but it was decided this was the best strategy. I think/hope that once is this is finally over he will then be canned.

Oh, and Smith said these violations were not "systemic." Not "systematic."

Systemic: Of, or pertaining to, a system.

Meaning, the system did not encourage these violations, nor were these violations a result of the system in place. Rather, the violations were committed by individuals that circumvented the system.

AKA, my name is Gene Smith and all I do is throw people under the bus. WTF is wrong with this dude.

I hope this same level of scrutiny is applied to Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Wisconsin, Oregon, Oklahoma, but we all know it won't. Ohio State is now the NCAA's and media's whipping boy.

Time for President Gee to clean up this program. We wouldn't tolerate this BS from a professor or a graduate teaching assistant, why should we tolerate it from athletics?

Eh, at this point does it really matter what level of scrutiny these other guys are getting? I mean really...at this point we might want to stop pointing the finger at Auburn and just deal with our own issues.
