Getting paid for hours you don't work takes place all the time for athletes from D3 to BCS schools. I've seen it and lived it. Most of the time it happens in on campus jobs.

That said, the part I have trouble with is that these guys were already in so much trouble and continued to do it. That's just ignorant. You've got to lay low at that point.

Big Red Motors... that is all I will say... if true... kick him off the team.

I disagree. If you discover it and turn them over to the NCAA, you've done everything you can do.

EDIT - in regards to the LOIC tweets.

I partially agree to this. If the school finds an issue and reports it themselves, I wouldn't necessarly call that LOIC. That's more lack of the players. You can teach players every rule in the rule book, but the coaches and dept can't be with them every moment. If anything this is showing the NCAA that the dept is taking everything serious and reporting it all.

Hey, it was an automatic carwash. Why did he need to be there? He was just channeling his inner Robbie Benson.

OSU should just stop giving press conferences and give press releases. It's just laughable now. I'm sure when they say this is everything and the last of it they are telling the truth. For the third time. :shake:

I agree - the press conference just makes things worse. They could have issued a brief statement over the weekend, and it would have gotten much less attention with all the games being played.

[Cynical fan] Well, if this results in a bowl ban, I hope it happens for the 2011 season, because I won't mind tOSU being ineligible to accept a bid to the Meineke Car Care Bowl. [Cynical fan]

Unfortunately, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it's much worse than one year bowl ban now :(

Realistically, this is actually pretty close to the truth. I see 3 more wins, 4 if we're lucky in one of the other games, and 5 more is an outside chance that would make me ecstatic.
