2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

J.T. is being punished for having been injured....great is limited play..NO, but hasn't been given a real chance

It's painful to watch Jones struggle

I knew he was good, but Jones's struggles have me convinced Devon Smith was the CO-MVP of last year's team, without him they had NO passing game. He made Jones look good due to his ability to adjust to bad passes and out-jump defenders.

If you play NFL fantasy football, get Devon Smith on your team when he comes back from injury, be your best pick up ever

With all due respect, this is actually the dumbest post all day

UM said himself Jones was getting the reps while JT healed up and thus Jones was given the job early on, and Meyer for some reason
refuses to admit this decision was wrong

If he can't play, then he's not being punished for being injured. Check yourself. Had JT grabbed the reigns in the NIU or Hawaii game he'd be the QB, but he didn't.

JT played bad in a home loss to Virginia Tech last year, then is case you slipped into a coma for the rest of the year he went on to finish 5th in the Heisman voting. The Heisman voting consists of every player in the nation if your not familiar with it.

check yourself

You clearly have no comprehension how bad Jones is playing game after game. The offense simply can not get any worse with J.T playing....right not aside from Elliott it's a 0

But when you do that, the offense loses a dimension.
But when you do that with CJ, you lose yards. What I see in Jones is a QB who has no confidence in his ability to lead this team. There is no rhythm and way too many mistakes. It starts with him. He has the skillset, but he is still unsure of himself. I will defer to Meyer, but I just do not get it.

This QB debacle is one of the things holding this team back this season. I find it ironic that a good problem has now become a bad problem.

I don't care that I've never been a head coach. I think UFM got it wrong straight up.

1. We changed the basis of our offense to accommodate CJ's shirt comings.

2. We can't take advantage of his arm strength

3. CJ is a non factor on the ground.

Sure JT wasn't any better in game time but there's a reason he beat CJ out last year and went on to be big ten playerror of the year with records falling in the process. IMO JT wasn't given a fair shake because he hasn't got the opportunity to prepare as the starter or to get the bulk of the first team reps to get better.

This is not a NC type team with CJ imo. Please don't type back how CJ already lead us to a NC title. That was a different team.

Growing pains all around. The play calling, miscues, fumbles and penalties are all making CJ look worse than He has been playing. Yes, he has struggled. But he is not getting much help either. Fix the other things and he will be fine.

I hope so, but I'm not so sure it's that simple. On numerous plays today, CJ was caught staring downfield, moving too slowly through his progressions. He's got to have a better sense of timing while in the pocket in order to make big plays in the passing game. There was one play in particular where he held the ball for more than 8 seconds in the pocket, and later went down for a loss of yards.
