High School Marion Local Flyers

https://pressprosmagazine.com/2025/...-about-12-teams-per-region-and-football-2025/

“How can you ask some small farm-community high school to play Lakewood St. Ed,” Doug Blankenship wrote recently from southern Ohio. “And how can you play at all if it doesn’t make sense financially to spend that much (for travel)? The only solution is for a team that good to play better competition in their own area from bigger divisions.”

But Marion Local has played Chaminade-Julienne (Div. III), Wapakoneta (Div. III) and Franklin (Div. III) for the past decade, and on their way to a record 64 consecutive wins. And the outcomes were Marion Local, 8…Division III, 0.

And, without actually consulting Marion coach Tim Goodwin I think he would be willing to play the likes of Division II and III schools on I-75 – bigger schools who are feasible as future non-league opponents. But try and find one willing to playing Marion. Most contend that a loss to the Flyers is a risk in lost playoff points that they cannot afford to take.
It sounds like some are in agreement with me. Let the kids play some big boys, that's not a punishment, its an honor. This team from BFE, is SO good, that they can beat some of the state's big boys. That's a real life Friday Night Lights type story

B1G Commissioner Tony Petitti (cOck llama)

Honest question. Do you guys think this would be the end of CFB or minor league NFL? Will people care about the Columbus Buckeyes or Tuscaloosa Tide?
I’m already paying less attention than I used to. But I think professional sports fans will more than fill the void left by any disillusioned college sports fans who stop watching.

Indiana Hoosiers (your shinebox, go f'n get it)

Ohio State football team somehow has fewer All-Americans than IU on one list

Despite that, the Buckeyes have two of the best players in all of college football on the roster again next year. Jeremiah Smith is the best offensive player in the country, and Caleb Downs is the best defensive player in the country. Both should be on every preseason All-American list.

Both find themselves on one of the first preseason All-American lists of the 2025 season. They are both on the Walter Camp Preseason All-American list. Both are first-team All-Americans, which isn't surprising. What is surprising is that the Buckeyes don't have any players on their list.

The Indiana Hoosiers have more Walter Camp preseason All-Americans than the Ohio State football team

Somehow, the Indiana Hoosiers have more players on this list than the Buckeyes. IU is one of five teams with three or more preseason All-Americans. Penn State, another Big Ten school, also has three members. Alabama, Clemson, and Texas are the other programs with three players.

Airport annoyances

Just sayin': Here is a real airport annoyance, your "swamp crotch" sets off the TSA alarm.......

People With Swamp Crotch Keep Setting Off TSA Alarms

A woman flying for the first time in 15 years recently shared that both airports she passed through flagged her groin area during the security scan. She had no piercings, no medical devices, and her pockets were empty. The only possible culprit? Her sweaty crotch.

She posted about the experience on Reddit and quickly found out she wasn’t alone. Other travelers chimed in with similar stories, pointing to what one security officer allegedly called “swamp crotch.” The term might sound ridiculous, but it lines up with how the scanners work.

TSA’s millimeter wave technology doesn’t just detect metal. It responds to anything that disrupts the signal, including moisture. TSA expert, Shawna Malvini Redden, told Reader’s Digest that sweat is one of the stranger things that can trigger an alert because of how the waves bounce off water. That kind of false positive happens more than people realize.

Sweat isn’t the only thing that might get you stopped at security. Feminine products, snug clothing, or even body shape can trip the scanner. TSA has said their systems are designed to accommodate a range of body types, but the reality is that some people—especially those with fuller figures—get flagged more often.
