Ohio State Fencing (2020 B1G Champions)

Saw this post highlighted, and jumped on. It opened on post #20, which revolved around two coaches being fired for 'unpermissible' thus and such. Now that unpermissible stuff is encouraged, and happens daily. How the world has changed, even in the world of sword slinging. Am assuming that the NCAA allows all the NIL stuff whether or not that sport receives NIL.

Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 19 Straight B1G Titles)

Heck, the whole tennis team can jump on tOSU private jet, no? Or do both men and women travel together on a charter, to each play their appropriate west coast gender, and then wing it up to Oregon and Washington? A travel point that the powers that be didn't take into account, am thinking.....

Ohio State Men's Golf (Official Thread)

Don't know Hoban area well, but our local country club hosts all three HS for their tournaments. We let them practice here, they usually practice after school, when most members are pounding them down in the clubhouse. In next city over, the four HS rotate, each year at their local CC, but there's a municipal facility where the other three play. That should have sufficed, unless this training facility would be physically located there, instead of HS grounds. Apropos of nothing at all. Just wondering how we can be adopted by Hoban out here.....

OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I think overall improvement by Stewart will bring a ton to next year's team alone. If Mobley and Royal also make that jump along with Bruce, the states will be quite good in my opinion. What they have to help when fouls and shooting become a problem is the biggest issue because those things will be a problem guaranteed.

I think people are sleeping on Bynum. Not saying he's going to be a freshman superstar or anything but I think he will contribute more than most people are thinking

2026 OH RB Favour Akih is a Buckeye!!!

Awesome to see a Hayes player get attention. My mom grew up in a house right next to the football field. There may have been a hole in the chain link fence. My aunts and uncles may have hidden Easter eggs around the field and stands for years for us kids. So do me a Favour, and make the timing perfect.
Favour has a huge ceiling imo and is only going to climb up the rankings after his senior year. He would be an awesome addition to this class and then we look OOS for one more RB to finish out the RB class (fingers crossed on Hiter, but plenty of targets out there). I see this one being in the books sooner rather than later though.

Ohio State Men's Golf (Official Thread)

Here's a fun story... years back a Hoban alumni wanted to make a $500K donation to Hoban's golf program but wanted a golf-specific facility involved. Hoban did not have one and they told the alum. They told the alum to build a facility with the ultra hi tech he wanted would be $2M. He wrote the check. It's one of, if not THE best golf facility in Ohio HS. Once again, Ohio HS Champs

NFL Buckeyes Tracker 7-9-2025 update = 71 NFL Buckeyes - TBD starters

THE BEAST. This week, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler released the 2025 edition of THE BEAST. What is THE BEAST? Brugler calls it “the most comprehensive and detailed NFL Draft guide available,” and I agree. This year’s version includes over 400 player profiles (!) and rankings for almost 2,700 prospects!

Here’s where Ohio State’s prospects appeared in THE BEAST:
  • Will Howard - No. 8 quarterback, fourth round
  • TreVeyon Henderson - No. 4 running back, second round
  • Quinshon Judkins - No. 5 running back, second or third round
  • Emeka Egbuka - No. 4 wide receiver, first or second round
  • Gee Scott Jr. - No. 28 tight end, free agent
  • Josh Simmons - No. 3 offensive tackle, first or second round
  • Donovan Jackson - No. 6 offensive tackle, second round
  • Josh Fryar - No. 32 offensive tackle, free agent
  • Seth McLaughlin - No. 3 center, third or fourth round
  • JT Tuimoloau - No. 8 edge rusher, second round
  • Jack Sawyer - No. 11 edge rusher, second round
  • Tyleik Williams - No. 5 defensive tackle, second round
  • Ty Hamilton - No. 11 defensive tackle, third round
  • Cody Simon - No. 11 linebacker, fourth or fifth round
  • Denzel Burke - No. 16 cornerback, fourth or fifth round
  • Jordan Hancock - No. 25 cornerback, fifth or sixth round
  • Lathan Ransom - No. 8 safety, third or fourth round
Georgia holds the record for most NFL draft selections by a college in a single year since the NFL draft became seven rounds in 1994, setting the mark at 15 players in 2022.

Sure looks like Ohio State will tie Georgia for the most draft picks in a single year. If that happens, it would be pretty, pretty cool. Don’t you think?

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

WELL, THAT’S INTERESTING. The three most valuable men’s basketball programs in America are North Carolina ($378 million), Duke ($370 million) and Indiana ($279 million). But what about the fourth?

It’s not Kansas.

It’s not UConn.

It’s not Kentucky.

It’s not Gonzaga, Louisville, Michigan State, UCLA or Villanova.

It's The Ohio State University.

According to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal, Ohio State men’s basketball program is worth $262 million.

WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

Ranking the best receivers in college football for 2025

1. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

Points: 100 (10 of 10 first-place votes)

2024 stats: 76 receptions, 1,315 yards, 17.3-yard average, 16 TDs (1 rushing)

Rarely do incoming freshmen generate as much hype as Smith did, and then actually exceed it. He didn't win the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top wide receiver, but good luck finding a coach who would prefer anyone over the Buckeyes star. He had three or more receptions in all but one game and reached the end zone in 12 of Ohio State's 16 contests.

After earning Big Ten freshman and receiver of the year honors, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Smith will enter his second season as a bona fide Heisman Trophy contender, and could be by far the best player at his position for two more years before he's eligible for the NFL draft. It's a rare spot for such a young player to occupy, but Smith is a rare talent.
