There are ways I agree. But I saw missed execution on the OL and QB early and late. There was a collective, top-down failure last night on the offense (sans WRs)



The OL getting their asses whipped is absolutely a foundational issue. How we see Julian progress in playoff prep will reveal more. But there were things scUM threw at him that IU did as well. Both defenses were successful in those deployments, IU especially because of their DL.

First one whatever the right way to say it is, they confused him by switching faster than he’s seen it so far.

second one agree again, issues were all over not just Sayin and not just OL.

Third one- it was in reference to Julian Sayin, not the OL. I’m saying I don’t see any Underwood like structural issues with his game.

Special teams hasn't been very special for the Browns this year. It bit them again today, it cost them the Jets game and it's just about every week in some way, shape or form.

Said pretty much everything I was thinking after reflection but we really just need to scrap whatever redzone offense we've been running, we have extra time with the bye to do it and it's a clear weakness that is worsened by the legitimate concern we might miss a FG that seems like a gimme. We really need to be able to utilize Donaldson there.

Last year we were able to flip the switch and I think it's anyone's guess if we actually do. I'll try to stay positive and the bye helps us rest up and prepare, so there is plenty of room for optimism if the switch does get flipped on and we break some tendencies on offense and fix the issues on defense that IU exposed.

Pretty amazing losing to the previously 1-11 Titans. I do believe Shedeur Sanders is a keeper - the problem is the Browns don't have a good supporting cast around him. The worst receiving corps and probably the worst OT play in the NFL. It's tough to score in the NFL the way it is, but when the OL can't block/commits regular penalties, WR are unreliable, and the running game is practically non-existent because opponents are constantly getting to the backs in the backfield, you're asking Sanders to basically be a miracle worker.

You can go slow..but you still have to have a sense of urgency. We were almost to laid back against a team who went all out play after play especially their D line.

Jerry Jeudy isn't a great receiver in the NFL. He quits on plays and drops the ball. Not all that reliable. I saw recently the Browns receivers were rated as the worst in the NFL - that doesn't happen if you have a legit #1.

ND is some salty bitches. You think you're too good to play in a bowl other than CFP? Dream on. Miami should have been ranked ahead of ND at least after they had both beaten Pitt, with Miami having the bigger margin of victory. You know you can't rely on the CFP rankings until the final bracket is revealed. I disagree with quitting on the season from a competitive standpoint, but that being said, bowls may have to start kicking in some NIL so teams/players are more incentivized to play in lesser bowls.

Championship Toddler Mentality

Back in the day, it was a truly mythical national championship……the look test with some back room dealing to create a ranking. If a high ranked team lost, they fell behind the. Similar teams. Therefore whichever team lost last got unduly screwed. This kept Ohio STate out of several NCs because toughest game usually the last game vs Scum. I can think of several examples: 1969, 1986, 1998.

ND always had its toughest game in early November or earlier. They can cry me a river.

I don't think they needed to go faster; they needed to convert in goal-to-go situations. Those two 7-minute drives would have been just what the Dr. ordered if they ended in seven points each. That second one, especially, would have been a perfect, back-breaking drive, with Sayin converting about three consecutive 3rd and 8s on the way to a bunch of time off the clock and 7 points.

It was obvious that Hartline had just about zero confidence in the offense's ability to pick up a yard or two with a handoff when the defense expected a run. That's a problem if he's wrong to have no confidence in it; it's a bigger problem if he's right. The only reason the slow-play, efficiency method wasn't a winner is that they weren't able to be efficient in goal-to-go situations. Maybe running some kind of hurry up inside the 20 would have helped, but if you simply can't run for 1-2 yards when the field is condensed and they're expecting a run, that's pretty limiting.
