Part of me fears they still have a horseshoe up their ass and will stumble into a home run. But "realistically" their best option at this point is likely DeBoer and even that is a bit of a stretch. DeBoer is a "good enough" coach, but look at him at Bama, he's struggled to keep them national title level relevant. Missed the playoff last year and barely squeezed in this year. He would not have scUM competing for national titles, their ceiling would be 9-10 wins and making the playoff every few years but not a consistent serious national threat. Basically good Harbaugh seasons pre 2021.
