But it’s not going to happen so no point in trying to complain about it. Julian for the most part is the same as he was last year. He’s going to do very well if he’s not bothered, he’s likely to struggle if he gets sped up, and he’s going to pass on easy yards on the ground at the expense of giving the WRs more time .

He’s already rushed a few times in the first 2 games, and scrambled to keep a play alive and find Roberts downfield for a first down. It’s too early to despair about this with such a small sample size.

I think too many people are freaking out over him not running the fourth down sack last weekend. He only gets close to the goal line if he takes off immediately. Otherwise I’m not looking for him to scramble in a scrimmage against Kent St.

Offensive tackle commit Jimmy Kalis also announced that he will be visiting this weekend, and it’s always a good bet that in-state commits like Jamier Brown, Kellen Wymer and Mason Wilt will pop up in the Shoe as well.

With no tight ends committed for 2027, Keenan Bailey is pursuing a two-tight end class in 2028, and Schott’s high on the board as a top target to pair with Sohyda.

A product of Zionsville, Indiana, who’s caught 30 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns (plus three rushing touchdowns) in five games this season, Schott is regarded as one of the top receiving tight ends in the 2028 class. Schott told On3’s Steve Wiltfong in August that he will also visit Indiana, Notre Dame, Oregon and Vanderbilt this fall, so the Buckeyes face strong competition for the No. 13 tight end in the class, but Bailey could use a big recruiting win as Ohio State’s 2027 tight end plan remains unclear.

2028 WR Zyon Robinson and Maddox Weil​

Cortez Hankton will host a pair of intriguing wideouts this weekend as he works to build out Ohio State’s 2028 class around Jett Harrison at his position.

Robinson, a Georgia native, is ranked as the No. 32 wide receiver and No. 230 overall prospect in the 2028 class. He doesn’t yet hold an offer from the Buckeyes, but prospects of his caliber usually leave campus with an offer when they make a visit.

Weil, the No. 46 WR and No. 305 overall prospect in the class, plays at Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was teammates with Ohio State freshman wideout Jerquaden Guilford last year.

2029 DB Richard Allen IV​

Ohio State will also host one of the top defensive backs in the 2029 class this weekend. Allen, who landed an offer from the Buckeyes after camping at OSU this summer, doesn’t yet have a composite ranking but already has an impressive offer list that includes Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Kentucky and Maryland. He could end up playing either cornerback or safety in college, but would likely be a safety for the Buckeyes as he was offered by Guerrieri.
