RB Lamar "Bo" Jackson (All B1G)

Ryan Day looks to have lit a fire under an Ohio State football star in the perfect way ahead of 2026 season

Ohio State needs RB Bo Jackson to be a key piece for them in 2026, and the latest update from Ryan Day sounds promising.

Ohio State’s scrimmage this past weekend sounds like one where Jackson played well and potentially reasserted himself as the Buckeyes’ starting running back for 2026. Day’s public comments following the scrimmage were encouraging.

“The first thing is his reads and the way he’s hitting the hole has really shown up,” Day said over the weekend. “I think he’s doing a much better job at the second level. And we’ve talked about it before, either running over them or you’re running around and making them miss, and you’re seeing that. It’s showing up on film. It did not show up on film last year, we all know it.”

2028 PA WR Jett Harrison is a Buckeye!!!

Marvin Harrison Jr. made an honest admission about his 5-star brother that’ll have Buckeye Nation wishing he was on campus sooner

Marvin Harrison Jr.’s latest comment on Ohio State commitment Jett Harrison is making waves, and it’s easy to see why.

“Jett is a lot more talented than I ever was at his age,” Marvin told Arizona Cardinals reporters recently. “I think what really sets us apart is the mentalities that we have. I just love the confidence he has in himself,” Marvin told Arizona Cardinals reporters on Monday. “He feels he can do anything in this world, and I love that about him. I just try to do my part in being his big brother, steer him down the right path. I always emphasize work ethic, continue to work.”

QB1 Julian Sayin (All B1G, B1G Frosh of Year, All American, National Frosh of Year, National Champion)

On Saturday, Ohio State coach Ryan Day said he’s seen how Sayin boosts his teammates’ morale. Day said that’s one of the crucial roles a quarterback plays for his team, and Sayin has exceeded that expectation this preseason.

“He’s the leader, and he’s going to be the one that’s going to have to make the play when the money’s down in these big matchup games in the fourth quarter, and a big part of being a quarterback is those guys have to want to make the play or get that first down because of the quarterback, and he’s doing a really good job of that,” Day said.

“I think that they believe in him now, but we’ve still got a lot of work to do, but that’s what the preseason is all about is earning and trying to put him in situations as a coach to see where they can continue to learn and grow in those areas.”

“He’s just really fiery. He’s making unbelievable, jaw-dropping throws, where it’s just like, my God, this guy.”– Bennett Christian on Julian Sayin's improvement

2027 OH LB Brayton Feister (Oregon Verbal)

To make a long story short, it seems that the OSU coaches thought he was close to his ceiling with him being 19 already

Same thing I said a few months ago. He's pretty much already what he’s going to become as a football player.

Ted Ginn was held back in elementary school because he had a learning disability.

Brayton, while talented, is closer to Mike “The Abusement Park” Mitchell than he is to Ted Ginn.

Freak athletes at the HS level, but close to maxed out before the even hit campus.

$4.29 here, how about you?

Just got back to Cali from driving vehicle to Ohio/Dublin. Didn't refuel until got out of California. But, the stations (Kingman) close to border take liberties of charging more, figuring schlubs like me will do exactly what I did. Cost dropped pretty hard from middle of AZ thru NM, going low $4.00 till Texas, where went to $3.65. Prices around big cities went up, $4+, but dropped when hit Indiana (more ethanol?). Maybe we start an offshoot of this thread about cleanliness of bathrooms?????

2029 CA WR Austin Miller is a Buckeye!!!

Well, when they report for work-outs, the # of *s simply aren't there anymore. It's recruit v recruit. Whoever has the talent, the heart, works the hardest, 'gets it' the fastest, will play. Has always been tOSU's mantra. The best player plays. He who makes the plays gets to play, or some iteration of that. Would think that a highly rated 5* coming in with a bit of a swagger (based on past laurels, rating or ? might find that the upper classmen might/would hit him a tad harder, etc. Storylines abound about the vaunted player coming in humbley, and working his fanny off to earn a spot. Does tOSU still assign 'big brothers' to take the recruits under their wing, to show them the ropes (and the things not to do?)
