I said Joe, who BTW didn't have a quick start in LSU either.

I think it was Tyvis who said that Joe sees the field differently and never makes the same mistake twice. If memory serves me right, Joe Burrow had zero int in his senior year in high school (but I think the competition level was not the highest).

If Sayin shows that he can see the field and improve play-by-play, we have a great one in the making.

Sayin doesn't need to win the game, just don't lose it.

If Arch ends up being a Heisman finalist, I don't think his performance in this game will help or hurt him. Unreasonable to expect him to go on the road in such a high profile game against what will be a good defense and light up the scoreboard, but I don't think he gets totally shut down either. I'm guessing a stat line of 20-35-250-2-1 or something around there, with some yards on the ground. For the season, I think he surpasses what Ewers did last year, which is a pretty high bar if we're being reasonable (many TX fans and media aren't), but I don't think he meets all the expectations being thrown at him.

Good to have you back. What are your thoughts on your OL and if they're limping into this matchup?

OSU's interior DL is younger, but the edge rushers have some pretty decent experience. They lose their All B1G type leaders in Jack and JTT, but bring back more speed on the edge in Jackson, Curry and Hicks.

The LBs behind them are prettye xperienced in Styles and Reese.

Josh Pate made a point that this is like an NFL game, any score is possible. I tend to agree.

Can’t see the bucks lose after many tries.

Everything I read about our defence from coaches to players makes me very confident. DT depth is a question mark but LBs and safeties should make running on this D very difficult.

David Pollack emphatically claimed Texas D as the best in the nation. That may be true. But bucks offence should be right there. I think mistakes determine the final outcome. Crowd noise, oline play slightly favour Julian. If Hartline calls a good game, the result will be something like 31-17.

I’m pumped in the other side of the world about this game. The first 10 offensive snaps will tell us if Sayin is another Joe Burrow or Kyle.

I come back to where the returning players are.

Julian is behind an OL with 4 returning starters from the playoffs/end of season, is throwing to the same WRs largely and has the best TE in the country.

Arch is behind a brand new OL, throwing to new starters at WR and a new TE.

Game boils down to this. Is the OSU DL any good? If they are there will be big problems for this Texas offense to keep up with what should be a very dangerous OSU offense.

I believe the OSU OL will win their share. The question is will the DL? It’s a game of turnovers and trench play. Win in the trenches though is a great start.

I think we have the leg up in both matchups. Their DL vs our OL and our OL vs their DL

I know people like to harp on our perceived lack of DT depth because of what we saw in the spring game but you gotta remember they were kinda limited by the most basic of defensive game plan And going up against a elite level OL, even our 2nd string OL most teams would probably love to have. I think we will be better there than the post spring panic suggested. DE not really worried about much at all

Cincinnati Bengals backup center Seth McLaughlin was among players released by the team as it reached its 53-man roster ahead of the NFL's deadline.


McLaughlin was added Wednesday to the Bengals' practice squad.


McLaughlin signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in May. He suffered a torn Achilles while playing the 2024 season for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was named first-team all-Big Ten at OSU.
