Yeah. I acknowledge my bias. My older sibling was a freshman at OSU in 1953. She taught me to sing We Don’t Give a Damn for the Whole State of Michigan that fall. Saw my first Michigan game in 1954. I survived 1969 and the Cooper years and am still in recovery from the last four years despite the Natty.

Ohio State has lost a member of its 2026 class after four-star Ohio guard Marcus Johnson has reopened his recruitment shortly before signing day.

For the record, Sonny Johnson claims the decommitment was based on style of play. Reading between the lines, it seems like what he's saying is Marcus wants to play in a program who's going to put the ball in his hands & let him showcase his individual skills. I doubt that he will ultimately choose OSU considering Diebler wants more of a free-flowing offense as opposed to iso ball. The question is, if the style of play from last season was a problem, why not decommit this past spring? That would have provided a lot more time for him and OSU to plan the next move, so the notion that NIL is a factor is probably accurate.
