We use Boldin which was formerly called NewRetirement. We have a planner who maintains our portfolios in her software which is NOT Boldin. The primary reason for getting this was so we could war game more easily.Has anyone here used DIY financial planning and retirement calculators like Boldin, Projection Lab (formerly NewRetirement), etc.? I think I am going to give one of them a go, but wanted to see if there was any feedback on them from you all first, and if so, which is most preferred.
I've been very satisfied with it so far. It was nice to have a tool like that for answering my own questions as opposed to running to our hourly fee-based planner.
I'd highly recommend it. That said, look for a 30-day or so limited free trial to get a feel for these tools. Ultimately, it's a LOT of work to get everything set up. You'll want to only do that once.
