The first matchup, Iowa put a systematic beatdown on OSU with what seemed like a very basic gameplan. There definitely need to be some major differences in the game strategy for OSU. Having Tilly and Noel (fingers crossed) available to help should make a difference somewhat. Offensively, OSU struggled mightily against Iowa's hard hedge and they prevented the Buckeyes from getting clean looks in the middle of the paint that they thrive on normally. Defensively, Iowa was able to create mismatch problems off switches and exploit them - Alvaro Folgueiras in particular. I would certainly hope OSU has some different strategies to attack this team. At the very least, OSU having a healthier frontcourt (fingers crossed) should help change the dynamics somewhat.

Dont let the press beat us and run on them when we can is the first thing I can see we need to do better. If we can get running, they can't get that hedge and support set up and gets us some early and open looks, hopefully. This team thrives on rhythm so if we can get going a little early, we could possibly run them out of the gym the way we've been playing. Like you said, depends on how Diebler had the boys ready to play and I hope it's still on the trajectory we've been on.

Just like they proved last year my friend. Missing Downs is the biggest issue, he's not replaceable, We did a pretty good job everywhere else and the corners will be better. Might come down to how good the Bama transfers end up. We've done OK with Bama transfers so far.

One of the lowest IQ games I've ever seen. UC's guards made dumb decision after dumb decision, to blow a game against a team that couldn't make a shot from the field or the free throw line. UC's bubble is burst.

I have heard some suggesting maybe Juni will be able to break Bruce's scoring record. I do not think that's going to happen, but Juni certainly could be able to get near the top of the list. I feel like he's close to reaching his potential - it's probably going to take him developing a lot more of a slasher game to be a 20 ppg scorer, and I don't see that coming.
