He was elected. I still can't figure out how he managed to face-plant the last two games of the year every time, but... it's 2025. If Ryan Day was coaching in 1995 or 1996 or 1998, he would never have been given the chance to redeem himself in the post season. I think that Coop could have pulled off at least one CFP title in this era.Well one guy was technically a HOF coach but reasonable minds can disagree
There is no way somebody leaves Bama for TTUN. Taking the rivalry out of this, there are objective things that are not equal.I still can’t wrap my head around DeBoer potentially leaving for them. If he beats IU, I just cannot envision Alabama letting him walk away.
if they had a deal worked out already I also struggle with it staying this tightly under wraps.
It'll be hard to shit on Ohio State for no reason while in the NFL, but I bet he can pull it off a couple times a year.I can root for him with the Giants but to hell with ND
Day getting no best coach votes, Smith and Sayin getting the shaft. Loss to IU.These guys are begging for info to talk up Miami. I'm not buying what they're selling.
Ass. Beating. Period!

Surely, this rotund moral pillar of the program spoke up when nobody else did during the NCAA investigations.

Our DL vs their OL isn’t a great matchup.
Their DL vs our OL is more interesting than people think. Indiana nearly doubled our yearly sacks in one game. Big reason for that is what IU does up front. Miami doesn’t stunt like IU they prefer to come straight at you and IMO that’s a good thing.
Miami's D is legit for sure. With that said, A&M's whole offense revolves around Marcel Reed. Once they bottled him up, it made easier pickings. Our DL isn’t facing their DL.
Our OL has given up less sacks than Miami. But the Miami defense has more sacks than ours. Overall it’s a good matchup but to say we don’t have an advantage at either LOS isn’t really accurate.
Luckily I don’t see Miami with an advantage in any of the other matchups but they certainly size up with us at the LOS.
Are they so good at the LOS that it’ll change the game? absolutely not.
Boils down to two things.
1. No turnovers and play a clean game (always #1).
2. Protect Julian.
If we keep Julian relatively protected and don’t turn the ball over I don’t see how this game is closer than 14 points.
I mean he left the schools a few weeks after signing a contract. If a coach leaves a school a few weeks after signing a contract they would owe more in a buyout than they had been paid. That’s how it works. Buyouts typically go down with time. This is real life now. Read the contract before you sign it. He made more ($110k) in a few weeks than most Americans make in a year. He can afford a few thousand for his agent or lawyer to read a contract. He also should have been advised to not leave a few weeks after signing it or should have been advised not to sign it if he was thinking of leaving. They paid him 110k but still not the 500k total they were going to pay him.
The above matches my sentiment.Luckily I don’t see Miami with an advantage in any of the other matchups but they certainly size up with us at the LOS.
Are they so good at the LOS that it’ll change the game? absolutely not.
