2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

So are our LB's. And secondary, for that matter.
Literally our entire back 7 may be better. I’d give them an edge maybe at nickle but other than that I’m confident in the others.

If we were creating starters from both defenses what would it be?

I’d go with Bain-McDonald-Moten-Curry on the DL

I mean, isn’t it possible that they saw how effective it was and they just…do it too?

It feel like it would be stupid as hell to not prep for that.
Sure but then they’re doing things they don’t do well or have a lot of reps doing. That’s how you get busts etc and I’d imagine we’ve been repping these things consistently since the last game.

Damon Wilson (DL Georgia, transfer to Mizzou, transfer to Miami)

I mean he left the schools a few weeks after signing a contract. If a coach leaves a school a few weeks after signing a contract they would owe more in a buyout than they had been paid. That’s how it works. Buyouts typically go down with time. This is real life now. Read the contract before you sign it. He made more ($110k) in a few weeks than most Americans make in a year. He can afford a few thousand for his agent or lawyer to read a contract. He also should have been advised to not leave a few weeks after signing it or should have been advised not to sign it if he was thinking of leaving.
I agree. I missed the part that he left weeks after signing.

So which decision is it David? These guys say things just get to views, and its so painfully obvious. So Miami has a better OL and DL than OSU, but OSU will win the NC
I guess just saying OSU is the obvious better team from coaching to player personnel isn't as interesting to say on every platform

It’s an ideal scenario. BS from the media to provide extra motivation for the more talented team to feel like the disrespected underdog.
Think back to all the times kirby invented disrespect out of thin air for motivation, and be thankful for this

I am ready to submit the application to the Vatican to have the Pope christen: Saint Biff, the patron saint of chili dogs.

Amen, brothers and sisters, Amen! One of you elitist pricks in charge here need to make Biff a thread with “St. Biff” in the title.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

With this move, I feel it’s becoming more apparent that Hartline will be making room for a Keinholz transfer. He would be a good fit in Tampa if it happens.

An early contender for Brown in the portal is Miami. The Hurricanes will search for a quarterback to replace Carson Beck this offseason.

Miami has become notorious for using the portal to acquire talent. Wisconsin sued Miami in June for tampering with a player's NIL contract and revenue-sharing.

Each of the Hurricanes' last two quarterbacks has been acquired from the transfer portal. Miami acquired former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward in the 2024 offseason. It acquired Carson Beck from Georgia in the 2025 offseason.

Realistically, Brown checks several boxes that Power-Five programs covet: proven production, college-level size, and mobility that flips run/pass mismatches.

Reunions with Golesh at Auburn have already been floated around, while other reported suitors include SEC or ACC programs in search of an experienced starter, such as Virginia Tech, Louisville, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida.
