Heck, if I was in his shoes, would have changed my last name to Maybach. Really impressed with his academic achievements. Guess he decided to 'play school'. Please, please save, invest, and otherwise put away some of that money for the future. Shelf life of a LB? Probably less than 10 years, which leaves you 50-60 years to go.

Another dumb question. Have seen players run miles in a rubber suit, taking off water weight, forgoing any sort of carbs, etc to get down to weight. So, for the nationals, if one 'makes weight' before the meet, can they then exceed that weight for the rest of the tournament? Or do they have to weigh in before each match? This goes to MPhillips saying 'he was over weight on day two of the match'. (paraphrase). Would imagine these wrestlers would still pump iron, building more muscle, ingesting protein powder etc, so would imagine that their weight would fluctuate during the season. How is that handled? Only sport I know that does this.

WRs are gonna be pissed anyway. Last year 3 of Utahs top 5 pass catchers were TEs or RBs and the #2. WR only had 15 catches. After the #1 WR the ball pretty much goes to TEs and RBs

Which is exactly why you'll see Patricia employ the 3rd "safety" more like a fast outside linebacker when they play in November...unless something significantly changes between now and then.

They aren't beating Oklahoma without being able to pass the ball either....or Oregon. Or Iowa. Or likely Indiana.

I think they are more likely to go 7-5 than 9-3...and the chances of them getting into the playoffs are around the same as me banging Sydney Sweeney....

Buckeye fans will have a better experience using their phones at games this fall.​

According to a recent social media announcement from Ohio State IT, crews are installing new network access points throughout the stadium to deliver significantly faster Wi-Fi speeds. For fans in the stands, this upgrade means smoother photo and video sharing, easier score checking across the college football landscape, and uninterrupted communication from kickoff to the final whistle.

Former Ohio State LB Arvell Reese signs rookie contract with New York Giants​

New York announced the signing on Friday, locking up the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with a four-year, fully guaranteed rookie deal. According to Art Stapleton of USA Today, the contract is worth approximately $47.831 million, with an estimated $31.2 million signing bonus and an option for a fifth year.

Looking forward to those early season 'body bag' games, and to watching the young talent get their reps. Hopefully this guy shines out (as well as many other young 'uns) this season, as appears to be many players running out of eligibility, and/or going pro early.

Always a good news, bad news thing. Great recruiting means alot of talent for the team. That's the good news. The bad news is that everyone can't get the amount of reps they want (or deserve in their eyes), for whatever reason. If I had a nickel for everytime I read "he'd be a starter for any other team", could probably fund some NIL money. When a guy works his tail off, takes coaching, pumps the iron, does the work, and still doesn't get minutes (someone better, portal transfers etc), then they get discouraged and look elsewhere.

Back 'in the day', was publicized that Woody gave several of his raises to his assistant coaches. He famously said 'I've got enough, so want some to go to my assistants' or somesuch wording. Always thought that was cool. Also believe that Day/Bjork will reward those assistants who produce in recruiting talent, and how well their position group performs on the field. Script, do you have an update of the 2026 salaries for the group you can post? Would think a side-by-side year-over-year picture would be telling. Lest we forget, for the working stiffs of the world (including me), $500,000 a year isn't chump change. And, inevitably, other schools are going to try to poach these guys, especially the high performers (see above), and we'll see how Day/Bjork respond. Maybe Day would take a cut to help out? Dunno.

I'd do it just to get one of those 'tour' tokens. Would make a great ball marker when I actually put a golf ball on the green.....

DT recruiting as a whole has lagged for the majority of my days following recruiting for whatever reason. Sure we've had some individual studs, but the units as a whole haven't been great many years. I'm a broken record here, but championship teams have dominant DTs almost without exception (and DL as a whole really). So this class needs to step it up. Parks seems like a long shot, so we're probably looking elsewhere.

Sorry, with the potential to land an uber class at DT feels a bit strange to me. We've had depth, certainly, but DEPTH in the recruiting ranks is a bit overwhelming. Sure, I get that recruiting is a very strange animal, and it ain't over till it's over is the watchword(s). Having spent 5-6 years in the Roanoke area I’d like to see the Hokies compete again. They’ve been brutal for about a decade now.

They were always quietly a fun team to watch. Great defense, special teams were terrific, offense had some names.

Pulling for them in the ACC that’s for sure.
