Notre Dame (football only discussion)

Notre Dame got fucked hard.

ESPN successfully made the conversation "Does Miami or Notre Dame make the playoff?", as if Alabama already belonged, well before they got royally but fucked by Georgia. There should have been no conversation at all whether Miami or ND should have made it in, they both should have been in there.

ESPN campaigned all week against Notre Dame to get the committee to fuck them over in favor of Alabama. It was always about Bama making it in. The more horses the SEC has in the race, the more likely the SEC wins it all.

Fuck the SEC, fuck ESPN and I'm shocked so many fell for it. Notre Dame recognizd this and thought "Why the hell should we play in a bowl game where our fans will tune in and give ESPN mega ratings when they just fucked us over?" and are refusing to be cucked by Disney. And now ESPN is leading the charge that programs should be forced to play in a post-season exhibition game or be fined by the NCAA to try to force teams to do whatever they demand. Fuck them

The committee unfortunately played right into ESPN/SECs hands. I can't believe more of you don't see this for what it is.

I can't believe you think the committee is independent of Disney in the first place.

:tibor: They lost their 2 toughest games and beat garbage cans except for a decent USC team. Were people crying this bad about teams ranked 10-15 with multiple losses during the BCS or 4-playoff team era? No, because they didn't deserve a shot. We no longer have deserving 0- and 1- loss teams getting left out. Everyone controls their destiny. Give me a break with this crusade against the committee for leaving out a 10-2 Notre Dame with 1 decent win

Edit- Also, join a fucking conference. Next year their schedule is absolutely pathetic and they're going to essentially be guaranteed a playoff spot. Reevaluate yourself if you feel sorry for little old Notre Dame, the golden child of football for a century

RB Legend Bey (Official Thread)

You ever looked down your nose at your momma and said 'no'?
I once gave my mom a side eye and mumbled under my breath at her. That was august of 1979. I was 9. It was a checkout lane of a K-Mart around 10am.

I woke up around 3pm in my bed not remembering how I got there or why my cheek was swollen or why my jaw hurt and I could taste blood.

Never back talked that woman again.

OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion, HC at USF)

Hartline is in essence working two jobs, one as Buckeye OC, and the other putting together his next stop at USF. Pretty late in the game to affect new players, but he's got to put together a coaching staff, no? Haven't heard of him poaching any coaches from tOSU, or that he's keeping all of those currently at USF. (Not certain whether current staff is following former coach elsewhere?). If they are, then he's beating the bushes for someone who's got their stuff together, and help him as the new HC. Hi, I'm Brian Hartline, the new HC at USF. Wanna come down and coach with me? First time in the big chair, and he's trying to gather some people that will help him keep his job...Yeah, might be a bit distracting.

Someone else said it first, Day might be better served by cutting Brian loose. For him, AND the Buckeyes going forward.

Ole Miss Rebels (official thread)

So there are at least 3 fanbases with an insane idea of what a good coach looks like?
for Tulane, I was referring to Blake Baker.

I honestly don't know how good of a HC he would be, but he's definitely a solid DC.
him being a Tulane Alum and still turning them down to stay at LSU (of all schools) really pissed those guys off.

Togiai had four total quarterback pressures vs. Mahomes, according to Pro Football Focus, which gave Togiai the seventh-highest overall grade (82.2) among NFL defensive tackles in Week 14.

In recognition of his standout performance, Togiai wins our Pro Buck of the Week award as the top performer among NFL players from Ohio State in Week 14.
