They did run a play in The Game with CJ in where it went to Bo. That was a thing of beauty and no one saw it coming. Great play. Caught me off guard, for sure.

So… there are some wrinkles. Not sure how many, but they exist.

I think in the playoffs Day should play 8 tight ends and put Tshabola on both sides of the ball.

Id say at this point just eliminate CCG games and take the playoff to 16 teams, play the first round the weekend that CCGs would normally be played.

I think there are two options:

Guaranteed slots slots per conference and going to 14-16 so each conference can do play in games however they like. Oh and fuck ND.

Or going to 20-24 and play the first round during conference championship weekend.

I prefer the first one because we get more football.

Lost in all the whining I see posted here from the outside world is the kids who aren't going pro.

They just got fucked. Hard.

20-30 guys thought they'd get one last practice, one last pre game meal, one last road trip, one last game with their brothers. When you get older you don't miss the games, you miss the locker room (well, not Penn State guys but I digress). Those kids were just done a massive disservice by their AD.

The parent in me feels legitimately sorry for them. If it were my kid, they'd be hearing me voice my displeasure.

He reminds me of Henderson as a Freshman going down on an arm tackle. Last year Henderson went through over and around the arm tackles. Jackson will grow stronger and more instinctive. He’s underused in the pass game.

And a bit more balance. I think the last developmental step is to know when to just hit the gas and go to power once he’s subtly made the cuts needed to get through the initial hole. I think that would help him break past the last guy who often seems to be just tripping him up.
