With eight catches for 151 yards and two scores on Saturday, Jeremiah Smith continued his rise up Ohio State’s record books. The junior now sits just seven receiving touchdowns away from breaking Chris Olave’s school record of 35 receiving touchdowns, and is 189 yards away from besting Michael Jenkins’ career yardage mark of 2,898 yards. Smith notched his 12th career game of at least 100 yards receiving, which is three away from tying Marvin Harrison Jr. for the most in school history.
Along with where he stacks up on Ohio State’s career lists, Smith is also making a mockery of the Big Ten receiving records. Smith finished last season with the most receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns in conference history through two seasons, and the Buckeye receiver looks even better as he enters his third season of college football.

Can WMU file a TRO for the win? Gotta be a judge in that state somewhere willing to help out

Unbelievable that good fortune keeps going this programs way.

Ohio State’s victory over Ball State was the 27th consecutive season-opening win for the Buckeyes, which is the longest active streak in the country. The last time Ohio State lost in their first game of the season came against the Miami Hurricanes in the Kickoff Classic in 1999. The 27 straight wins also tie Florida for the second-longest winning streak in season openers in Division I history. The Buckeyes now just need wins in their next two season openers to tie Nebraska’s streak of 29 straight from 1986 to 2014.

Holy shit. They fucking suck!

Nerds on MGoBoard are fighting about whether to be happy.
Seriously... how can they be happy?

A man named after a casino turns out to be the money!

Fuck yeah - I like this idea.

If you need a hail Mary to bear Wester tsun, then your program has MAJOR problems if you expect them to compete for an NC. Or even make the CFP.

I know its just one game, but that was BAD football. Like Brady cHoke, RichRod days. Whittingham seems like his hands are tied over Underwood, and this 1sec on the clock, hail Mary BS will give him a legendary moment in scUM history and that will overshadow the fact not only should they have lost, they were getting beat up and down the field by a MAC team. Oklahoma can beat them to a pulp... and im here for it

Feels like a monkey's paw moment, but time will tell.

The only argument for not correcting an error is you can't go back to the point it occurred and continue the game.

Unless the timing discrepancy can be justified I believe the outcome will be changed. There is NO argument not to do so.

I agree with every word you just said, except I believe that the outcome will not be changed.
I hope I'm eating crow in 24 hours. Or 48 hours. Or 60 or 72 hours.
I hope it's terrible. But it'll be delicious.
But they will not change the outcome. The cheaters won.

I’ve never had an erection go away so quickly.

Ugh. I agree with Penn State fans. What is this world coming to?

Yeah that....that was bad.

Betcha the BTN post-game show highlights on this game doesn't even show that play.

Why not the untimed extra point attempt? A block 2 would have been even better karma.

Looks like it’s about 3 feet above the defender’s hands, just to the left of the top of the blue post padding.
