Notre Dame (football only discussion)

Still a probability this is about joining a conference too. Not sure why you schedule a future news conference for a coach leaving.

I just don’t see him leaving ND for the freaking Giants. But, money and reaching the highest level of the profession can be drivers.
I don't pay enough attention to the NFL to be saying what I'm about to say.....I'm sure an NFL coaching gig has it's own difficulties that college coaches don't. But I don't know why anybody would coach in college if the money is similar in the NFL and an NFL team actually wants you. Having to kiss the ass of 18-21 year olds to join or stay on your team every single year sounds like a nightmare.

Freeman, to his credit, actually seems to like it. Maybe it's all an act, I dunno. He looks like he enjoys it anyways.

B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

They are gonna have to come up with some wrinkles that make the opponent pump the breaks on just teeing off on the Interior Oline
Did the Bucks even try one screen pass to slow down that pass rush? I don't remember one except for that bullshit one across the field and back

Any recent news on the health of the Baylor xfer?
According to a post yesterday from @OSUHoopsInsider on X, Josh Ojianwuna is expected to redshirt this season due to injury. Devastating for this team. I do not project this team to be able to make the NCAA tournament without Ojianwuna.

HS Swim Team - any experience?

the boy dropped 6.11 seconds on his 100 Free and 5.8 seconds on his 100 breast on Saturday at the first meet of the year @BB73 I apologize for the delayed posting, i know you were waiting with baited breath.

Told him if he PR'd in either event, he could pick where we went for dinner... he (being 15) picked Twin Peaks, I'm so proud

I dont get into the whole blaminng the refs thing (obviously they are going to miss some calls and they aren't going to call 30 penalties a game) but that one is pretty bad lol
The lack of holding calls when other teams play OSU is noticeable. It is definitely a thing.

Big Ten and other Conference Expansion

Let us not forget that the 'big money boys' that are offering this $2.2B pot of money, have done all the analysis, projections, and assumption setting needed to come up with this offer. And the fact is, they wouldn't make this offer, without some thoughts on how THEY will make money, enough to represent a significant return on the $2.2B. From what I gather, the top teams in the B10, will score more of the loot than the lesser lights. But for those lesser lights, a huge infusion might/will ease some of the current expenses/problems they face. Am not going to argue who are the league 'big boys' are, but am certain that some teams will be butt-hurt when they're NOT included in that conversation. To be, kinda overwhelming. PS, hopefully the B10 will have some bigger brains study this, rather than the chump that negotiated the last TV rights contract. Current lump of cash, versus the net present value of a cash stream.....classic corporate analysis.

2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

No one knows what went on in the heads of the 'Committee', but would have liked to be a fly on the wall. Elevating a 3 loss team, over a surging #2 loss team seems to be confounding (to me at least). Getting smushed by GA should have been a warning to the overall health of Bama, yet they persevered. SEC bias? Almost certainly. Warning to ND that a) join a league; b) don't believe that you're that solid. Anyway, that part of the season has been written in stone, so guess we'll pop some corn and watch things unfold. PS, listening to the talking heads say things like 'we're not going to penalize teams for early season losses', well, losing to Miami in what, first game of season for ND, seems to have been the deciding point between Miami and ND. And gotta laugh, when Duke won the ACC, Miami appears to be the rep.....

SF Brandon Noel (Official Thread)

Thought he'd be a solid #4 spot, but at the NW game, he slid to the #5, and did well there. tOSU appears to be more of a 'get back' kind of team, than crashing the boards to corral a second chance rebound. OK, that's systemic coaching by Diebs. Still haven't seen Tilly and Noel pair up efficiently in the forecourt. Hopefully that's coming. Any recent news on the health of the Baylor xfer? PS, for the record, believe that what we're fielding this year, looks significantly better than last year. Should keep us competitive in all but a few games...

2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

Look at the pairings, and am a tad scared with either one tOSU will face. Guess it's more not paying attention to other teams, other than those in the B10 other than now. Each and every game on out from here will be more like tOSU v Xichigan than not. Guess have to let the coaches spend time in the tape room, watching the opponent's games, in order to formulate/foment D and O gameplans. Hopefully the loss to IU will light the fires that burn in the hearts of players/coaches like last year's team. Go Bucks!
