Ohio State football announces 2025 fall camp schedule

The defending national champions are ready to get things going in 2025.

Big Ten Media Days wrapped up in Las Vegas last week, signaling that the 2025 college football season is just about to begin. Ohio State will start the new season on Aug. 30 when Texas visits Ohio Stadium for one of the season's top non-conference matchups. From there, it's a race to the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoff.

Man isn’t this the greatest time of year? It’s all in front of us. The football season, the anticipation, the build up, and for me at least the holidays (big fan of Halloween through Christmas).

DT Eddrick Houston (National Champion)

Really happy that it is not serious and not long term. Hoping that he will be fully healthy for the TX game. A concern though has to be his conditioning based upon how long he is out. On a positive note it gives the backups more reps which will pay off down the road. Hopefully someone emerges as a playmaker at the DT position.
Honestly I sort of hope he has the next two weeks off.

Like you mention it’ll give those back ups tons of reps and he’ll be back with enough time to condition.

I know we won’t do this but I sort of wish we did this with any position that’s a bit thin. For example, give McDonald some limited reps too

DC Matt Patricia (Official Thread)

Login to view embedded media This type of creative scheming is why Patricia was hired
I’d heard one of the OSU media folks (can’t remember who because I listen to them all) state this is something Knowles would never do or attempt. That this like you mentioned was why Patricia was hired which is to take this defense to the next level.

I’m rooting for Patricia… had a tough go in Detroit. Got fired and took that time to get himself right physically and mentally.

Really hoping he crushes it here and can springboard that to another HC position because I don’t think he’ll attempt the Bill Belichick clone again. That seemed out of his personality having now listened to him for the past 7 months. He’s a very fun and outgoing coach it seems like and from what I can tell his players love him here.

WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

Ohio State football player Jeremiah Smith sends terrifying message to other teams across the country

As a freshman, he wasn't entirely comfortable with the playbook yet, especially early in the year. Smith was clearly thinking less when he was in the College Football Playoff, carving up Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame. He established himself as the best player in the country then.

For Smith to say that he is going to be scary next year should be a horrifying thought for the rest of the country. He thinks that even with all of the attention that he is going to receive, he can still carve up opposing defenses. The Buckeyes are certainly hoping that's going to be the case.

Ohio State is going to need him to be great right out of the shoot against the Longhorns in the first game of the season. He wants to show that he can beat them more than he did last season, when he was held to just one catch for three yards in the Cotton Bowl.

2027 PA RB Kemon Spell (Penn St. Verbal)

Ohio State working to flip 5-star Penn State commit who will visit for Texas game

This would be major if Ryan Day can pull this off.

Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team have taken care of business against James Franklin and Penn State so much on the field, perhaps it's time to dominate them once again, but this time out on the recruiting trail. Folks, the Week 1 showdown with Texas at The Shoe just got more interesting.

On Friday, it has been reported by 247Sports that 5-star Penn State commit Kemon Spell will be in Columbus to watch the Buckeyes take on the Longhorns. Jones has been pledged to the Nittany Lions since August 2024, but other teams are working overtime to change his mind. The list of course includes the Buckeyes'

5-star Penn State commit Kemon Spell will visit Ohio State for the Texas game

You've got to hand it to Day for this latest move. Ohio State vs. Texas is easily going to be the biggest and best game of opening weekend for college football. The stadium is going to be packed and the energy for all four quarters is going to be electric.

Spell is a 2027 prospect, meaning he's got well over a year before he puts the pen to paper for his Early Signing Period. This fall, Spell is planning on taking campus visits to Notre Dame on Sept. 13, Penn State on Sept. 27, Florida State on Oct. 4 and Alabama on Oct. 18.

Now, we know that he'll be taking his trip to Ohio State in late August. With Spell taking so many other visits, it feels like it's going to take a bit of a miracle for Franklin and the Nittany Lions to hang on - PSU fans must be worried they're going to miss out on this kid.

WR Mylan Graham (National Champion)

‘He’s a dog’ – Jeremiah Smith doesn’t hold back on possible breakout star for the Ohio State Buckeyes

Jeremiah Smith keeps it real about one of his teammates.

Ohio State has had an embarrassment of riches at the wide receiver position in recent years, thanks in large part to Brian Hartline’s development. It’s a testament to the NFL wide receiver factory he’s helped build in Columbus.

Jeremiah Smith arrived as a true freshman and put up 1,300 yards last season in dominant fashion. It’s rare to see players like Smith—ones who don’t require much development and could realistically start in the NFL tomorrow.

Some players, however, take a little longer to get up to speed and reach their potential. One of Smith’s classmates is a player the star wideout believes has serious upside.

Ohio State WR Mylan Graham receives a shoutout from Jeremiah Smith

“He’s a dog,” Smith said of sophomore wideout Mylan Graham on Friday. “[He] just needs to get the mental things right, but he’s gonna be a dog, for sure.”

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

My wife enjoys watching YouTube vids of police cameras where entitiled idiots argue that there should not be consequences for their actions. She particularly enjoys that moment when they realize that their opinion means absolutely zero.

Looking forward to that moment from the UM crowd.
