but the coaches everyone will want will still be coaching in the playoffs.

More importantly, I don’t think it’d be good for him. That’s a tough job competing against OSU and ND for Midwest recruits. Throw in the lack of experience/success of proving you can run a high potency offense, I just think it’ll be a tough sell for a kid from South Florida Express to go to Happy Valley.

That said, I’m giving Hartline a big leg up against OSU if he’s competing for same recruits while working for UF or FSU…..

Kelly to PSU is a good fit for personality and school culture actually.

Not sure how his buyout plays into it (is he one of the guys who loses money if he takes a new job this year?) but as bad a fit as he was with his fake southern bullshit, he's as good a fit with being an insufferable prick at Penn State.

I think Hartline takes a HC job this offseason, but I don’t think it’s Penn State.

He has GREAT relationships in South Florida from recruiting but also his time with the Dolphins.

I really don’t want to see him go (…hell, I wanted him as OSU HC and to let Day go prior to running the table in CFP).

I think he lands a job in the southeast that will play to his strengths of recruiting South Florida talent. JMO.
