2026-27 Ohio State Men's Basketball

The official OSU release had this concept picture.

I’m looking into going with my UD friend already.
Wait. What did I miss about clay? Won’t they just build a court similar to the carrier ship game they did?

Also, Cinci’s tennis courts are hard. Like a blacktop surface - maybe a little bouncier and harder since those courts are historically some of the “fastest” on the tennis circuit (lots of “aces”, but that’s the tennis nerd in me).

I’m assuming it will just be a regular basketball court with some outdoor elements.
Obviously I don't know what is going on, just made a guess about the playing surface. I don't really follow tennis but even if the court isn't exactly clay, it's still a hard surface that I'm sure would scrape you up pretty good if you dove or slid on it. Obviously having an actual hardwood court would be much more better, but regardless, I don't think it's particularly helpful to play outdoors when you're trying to prepare for a season of games indoors.

2028 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Thats my sentiment regarding IU. It’s more fun to be the hunter than the hunted. How will IU act when they are the hunted and can no longer sneak up on teams.

No need to duck, Day got beat. But his kicker did him no favors. This season will show a lot about Cignetti imo

I think it's more accurate to say the advantage Cigetti had over Day was the cohesion of his staff. His guys have been together an absurdly long time. Day has turn over and the more we look back the more I think it's going to be obvious how bad the timing was of trying to break in a new OC/play caller last year.

That said, it all comes back to land on the guys in charge (good or bad) so in the broader sense, yes Cignetti > Day in 2025.

Depends on how you measure success and define the rules of comparing coaches.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Most coaches don’t transfer more than once so yeah I agree with this.

Everyone should have 5 years and 1 transfer.

Would give some god damn meaning to the original commitment. I’m tired of seeing kids go to a school and then transfer after 1 year to go to the next highest bidder.

We are one step away from collective bargaining (contracts) and I’m here for that.

Some arbitrary, self appointed governing body of whatever you do for a living tells you you can only change jobs 1 time in the next 5 years no matter what.

You good with that? So your employer and those like your employer can keep a stable roster of employees?

Because that's what this is.

Cincinnati Reds (2026 Season Thread)

I didn't watch last nights episode of Desperate Tragic Fucking Losers of Cincinnati but I see Lodolo left with another blister/vaginal issue.

At some point, someone has to maybe start to come to grips with the fact the guy can't be a starter. Legs or blisters, he just can't come close to 180+ innings. Things just give out.

Why not see if he can be the hammer closer it appears he might be able to be? You have absolutely nothing to lose because he can't be a starter. This should be treated as truth at this point. Pretending he can be is fantasy.

Thought most bball floors were removable, in as much as could host rock shows, ice hockey or whatever. And those floors are springy, as floor sits on on edge 2/4s. Grew up on blacktop bball courts, and can vouch they are NOT springy. And hurt when you fall down. I was going to say "watch out for the net", but the above super-imposed pic shows me that net was removed. Should be a cool show. To bad they didn't have an aircraft carrier to play on. Go Bucks!

WR Mylan Graham (National Champion, transfer to Notre Dame)

Well, maybe a fresh start at a different place will work out for him. Good for him, until the Domers face the Buckeyes in the playoffs. My Dad was a ND and SC hater, and guess it was passed down to me. He gave me a ND/tOSU poster with Eddie running free for a TD, and had it framed, and is on my garage wall, where I can see it every damn day. Go Bucks!

I get what he's trying to do. But until the coaches are held to the same standard, the rule would be BS
