Game Thread tOSU at Indiana, Saturday Oct. 17, Noon ET, FOX

Feeling strangely confident about this one for some reason. Indiana has played two teams comparable to Iowa and were pushed to the brink by both. Also, as much as we bemoan the OL, they've held up decently well in these match up games. Plus I think the team is going to be pissed about how they lost last year.

Is the OL back to being healthy?

I expect a good old fashioned bigten dog fight. Defense has been playing with attitude lately, and starting Jakobi has given the offense an edge.

24-21 Bucks. No. 4 makes two huge first-down catches—that only he could pull off—to win the game.

I'm not a huge baseball fan. I've always rooted for Indians / Guardians, but I might have watched 50 innings all season long, before the playoffs.
Other than "they're in our division", why would White Sox fans hate Cleveland?

I mean, I don't feel bad about it. Hate Cleveland all you want. But I'm just curious if there's some back-story to this. Did Cleveland steal their prize donkey, or something?

Edit - laughing emoji.

Trying to think of QBs who might be equal or better. Hoover at Indiana is a huge drop off from Mendoza. The coaster QBs at usc, UCLA and Oregon were over hyped, Manning has been exposed, and Mateer is meh. That leaves Carr, with the ND hype machine and an incredibly weak schedule, and the kid from Alabama. So, really, whose his competition for the O’Brien?

I’m fine with that, but keep him out of the Heisman talk. Two players from the same school going for that only improves the chances of Carr.

Still cant believe we let Archie Boy direct 3 4th quarter touchdown drives. Shoot me

His issue is that he chooses to do dumb shit almost all the time. For some reason, he chose to not do that against us. It's not like other teams make him do dumb shit and we didn't do those things to make him do dumb shit. He just chooses to, and he forgot to for a quarter.

At least those two were individually productive in college. This is mass self-gaslighting by the media at this point with Arch.

At this point you have to think they are either being made to do it by company exec's for monetary reasons or they have been at "have a take and don't suck" for so long as professional culture, that they actually have lost the ability to think (to whatever degree they ever had it).

I always remind myself when I marvel at their stupidity- no one chooses to be a sports journalist. They were rejected from something else, then went into sports "journalism". Typically the ability to play sports is what did it, they either never had it or had it and lost it.

Regardless, you end up with the Herbie's of the world opining about where Arch gets drafted.

Punting inside the 10 is really driving me insane and heading into today it was FG kicking. The penalty doesn't help either. But punting inside the 10 is really bad and I flip the channel (or just watch whoever our opponent is) and just about everyone else seems to be capable of it in a fairly regular basis. Sure, a few are going to bounce inside the endzone but where we're at is really bad. We might as well just go for it if we're not inside our own 35 at this point if we can't do better, we're not improving our field position by a lot by punting (I'm only halfway joking).

Exactly, when you only net 15 yards what is the point. Feed your stocked WR room and take your chances.

I watch a ton of other games too and even average programs don't seem to have these issues.

One wonders whether draft day will expose him like with Brady Quimm amd Shadeur Sanders or whether some GM will fall for the fool's gold like Minny did with Spin Pass.

No need for that. I wish coaches would take more responsibility. He should be suspended for 1 game.

The Ducks bought into the off season hype. They aren’t even playing to their level of talent this year.

But congrats to the Bruins. They are looking like a good football team this year. Great for the big ten!

Marvin Harrison Jr. Trade, Latest on Teams In & Out with Texans Rumored as Top Landing Spot for WR

Just sayin': Above article lists as the Texans as "the team to watch" and Raiders as "in the mix too". It says the Chiefs, Colts, Eagles, and Browns are "out of it". Regardless, there's no doubt that the Cardinals are trying to get as much as possible for him.
