Well, if Portnoy was on a UX station, exclusively playing on Ann Arbor TV, good for him. But on a national scene, being outrageously bigoted (towards any one team), shouldn't be tolerated. Not certain how Desmond was allowed to get away with it, and Herbie went out of his way NOT to show favoritism towards tOSU. Heck, I even turn off ESPN on Saturday mornings to listen to B10 pregame chatter. So, I guess I voted with my channel clicker. PS, don't like the new loud-mouthed guy on ESPN

Better brand? These games are won upfront. If OSU gameplan’s this deficiency, they’ll win. Problem is, I’ve never seen Day even attempt this.

Even if we could attribute the late drives to Smith? Is there any evidence to support that it’s a sustainable tendency? I’m not trying to nitpick and I really like what Smith has done for the most part but I am just curious if there is historical data on that.

Interesting that Juck predicts Hall to OSU, and has him as his RB1 out of him, Tranard Roberts, Kingston Allen and Jayden Miles. He thinks he has most shiftiness along with speed and durability. He believes that Roberts still has a hurt ankle and that's why his HS hasn't used him as much. He sees Allen similar to me in that he just doesn't have the shiftiness and moves of the others, and may be on team that's just so much better than all of the competition he plays in WI. Miles is the clear last choice and someone who is "just a body" or the best available if the others go elsewhere.

Well the Brewers are doing their part...time for us to do ours.

It’s really a game of opposites.

If we can protect Julian well it’s likely OSU is in a good position to win.

If Indiana can run the ball it’s likely they’ll win.

I am betting also that with a banged up RB room that Bo is going to have his best game yet. It’s situations like this where OSU players typically step up.

If you're asking if there's a difference maker that's uncommitted or still on the OSU big board, then I'd have to agree with @RB07OSU in Tranard Roberts. I like Kingston Allen, but he seems a little more stiff and is a 1 cut and go type of player with not much wiggle to his game. He is able to outrun defenders when he hits the hole or the perimeter. Kind of reminiscent to Brandon Saine, a ton of speed but not the best vision. Where Roberts reminds me more of Treyveon Henderson. He has the shifty as well as the speed, and can turn on the burners at any moment.

As to the topic matter of this thread for the 2027 class, I would qualify Tranard Roberts as an elite RB if we were to land him, that kid is for real.

Fully agree on RB being devalued, but that's also because most of the teams in the nation have transfer RBs as starters, Its a plug and play position. As much as Zeke was needed to win the '14 title, Judkins was as important to the '24 title. I think dynamic RBs can be found in the 2nd tier of HS recruiting as well as in the Portal. I've been on record for being against paying insane amounts for RBs, because that would then take away NIL from OL, WRs, DL, etc. That's fine if Tenn thinks they "won" by getting DGG, but at what cost?

ENH is a stud, but will need another RB in his class as well to keep him healthy. I can a RB2 coming from the Portal for '27 and '28. ENH will scare many HS RBs away, IMO, and I'm fine with that. Get an upperclassmen RB and call it a day, there will always be guys willing to come to OSU and be in the rotation, especially since I can see OSU losing 1-2 RBs in the off season. Roberts and Allen are 1A and 1B, whomever wants to commit first, be fine with that, and if the other guy wants in, so be it.
