Midwest has some outstanding ethnic areas, where immigrants settled to, would guess, be around countrymen, while learning English etc. Not certain when started, but some of the ethnic restaurants became beacons to foodies, gathering there to sample another cruisine. Am speaking from when grew up back there. Would hope that you could better dogs from a 'Little Italy' kinda place, but unless you smuggle it into a game, does it really count? As you noted above, DaiMon. Out here in Cali, more eclectic in distribution. Group of 20 or so, in San Francisco, would on a Friday lunch, gather at a restaurant all over the City, and eat together on a weekly basis. Whomever was next up, would have responsibility to find and procure, say a table for eight, and notify everyone where and when. Was really cool, and dined at places would never have thought about going. Oh yeah, this was before cell phones, so was alot harder to accomplish.
