Shamrock is a hard hat area for sure.

Safari isn't that bad

Raccoon International is a fun course.

Foxfire's two course are good.

I prefer York over all of them though.

Safari thinks they are a country club and they aren't. Way too much $$$ for the price.

Raccoon International is a fun course, it is just missing a windmill. There are some goofy holes. I mean a 600 yd par 5 that you can hit in two. (if you hit it 250 you end up with about 100 yards extra roll down a hill.

Foxfire has two very good courses.

By York, I assume you mean the country club?

Safari used to be a very private club. I believe it was called the Double D or something like that. My Father-in-Law worked there as a teenager. So while its no longer a private club, the mentality remains. Jungle Jack is there frequently still.

And yes, I'm referring to to York at 270 and 23.

OK, name the course you would most like to play in

Columbus
Ohio
the US
the World

For me

Double Eagle
Inverness
Augusta
Carnoustie (because I am a glutton for punishment, but I think I could best Jean Van Deweld's meltdown on 18)

Scioto CC
Scarlet Course
Pebble Beach
St. Andrews

Tough one...I've played almost everything in central Ohio...from Scioto to the Golf Club to Muirfield Village. I guess I would like to play Cook's Creek just because I haven't had a chance to play there yet.

So, I assume you have played Double Eagle? thoughts?

Cooks Creek is a pretty nice track. They have had some tough luck with their clubhouses though.

Longaberger Golf Club: Humbling but Exhilarating at the Same Time

By Carl W. Grody, TravelGolf.com Staff Writer

NASHPORT, Ohio - Longaberger Golf Club helps define exactly how much golf means to you.
For example, how hard do you really want your golf to be? At Longaberger, try a rating of 75.2 with a slope of 138 from the black tees. Even from the white tees, the rating is 69.6 and the slope is 128. How fast do you want your greens to be? At Longaberger, the average is 9.5 on the Stimpmeter, and that's only because it's as slow as the staff can keep them.

Played the Greenbrier a couple of times, most recently last summer. Are you playing the Greenbrier Course, The Meadows or The Old White Course? Either way they are great tracks, especially if you like playing on bent grass. I prefer the White Course.

I am also going out on Friday for the first time this spring...

Got snowed out at the Greenbrier. :(

Columbus: Muirfield
Ohio: Inverness
US: Pine Valley
World:No real desire to go out of the country to play golf but if I had to choose one I guess St. Andrews. Would much rather play Augusta or Winged Foot.
