figured with some masters interest id start a thread about members games and places to play. feel free to piss and moan about your game, brag you shot a 65 at pebble beach and missed three short eagle putts or what not.

Since we are bragging. I shot an 80 at Pebble Beach, I did miss one eagle putt on #2 and made the birdie. Also birdied #17 (par 3) nearly made a hole in one, but could not see it because the pin was behind the bunker. Ended up with 3 footer for birdie.

Also shot 79 at Spanish Bay and 83 at Spyglass.

Pinehurst #2 ate my lunch too. 89 there.

Have not been out in Ohio yet this year. Hope to in the next week or so.

As long as we're bragging about golf stuff- last year I went to The Masters. I went to see a practice round and the par-3 contest, and also went on Thursday morning for some of the opening round. The course is awesome.

my boss told me last week that he is going to the Masters this year, on SUNDAY - muddafucka

I have been to Augusta a few times for practice rounds, tours of the maintenance facility ect. Even took my wife once. Truly an amazing place any time of the year but especially at "The National" time. If you have a chance, by all means go.

I played 18 last sunday, and then played 9 on tuesday after work. I'll probably play nine after work tonight. I'm playing Longaberger saturday, and Eaglesticks on sunday.
Has anyone played Bolder Creek in steretsboro? I'm playing there the day before Easter, any opinions?

[bragging] Shot an 82 at Pebble and an 84 at Spyglass. Haven't played the others but would kill to play Pinehurst. My 82 at Pebble and my 78 at Muirfield Village are my two favorite rounds. And the 79 I shot the second time I played Glen Dornoch after shooting a 98 the first time. [/bragging]

I have played in a few banking outings there. It has definitely grown up. The first couple years it was ok, the last two years it has been very nice. It has a few holes that are a little odd (split fairways, or 90 degree doglegs) they have an island green hole that is pretty cool. Overall for the price, it is a really nice place. Good range and nice beer selection.

I cannot remember what hole # it is exactly because we never started on # 1. I think it is #2 or three. It is a par 4 with a plateau tee shot down hill that goes 90 degrees around some trees on the left. You cannot even see the green from the tee. You can put it on the green with a strong (high) three wood over the trees (you will amaze your playing partners) if they have never played there before. Otherwise you need to lay up off the tee with a 4 iron or so.

It does get a little soggy after rain though.

It's been a few years, but I've played there several times when it first opened. I liked it and it wasn't nearly finished yet. IIRC, it has a little of everything; tight, open, some shots over water (island green), left and right doglegs, etc. I recall it being fairly hilly/moundy. A lot of uneven lies, some blind shots etc. I can't remember how the greens/bunkering were though...

I actually played 9 after work last night. I shot a 44 last night I couldn't hit a putt to save my soul. I had a ton of long birdie putts last night and I kept blowing by my lag putts by 8-10 feet(very frustrating)
I met up with a couple guys at the turn, and my playing partner for the weekend shot 78 with two triples. So hopefuly we put up a respectful score at the tournament this weekend.

For what it's worth....

Longaberger has dropped their rates, is more accessible and has added tee times. Where Tee times were about 12 minutes apart, they are now 10 minutes apart.

I think I might head to Digger and Finch today for lunch and a bucket of balls.

woo hoo

I got to play twice when we were in AZ for that sorry excuse of a football game. It's so hard to play when you live in NYC. I have a trip to the 'bus planned at the beginning of May for a fraternity alumni outing at Shamrock. I hope to play fri, sat and sunday that week. Has anyone played Shamrock?
