The Big Ten Needs to Get Their Act Together

I don't think it really matters. I just hope someone in the Big Ten unfucks themselves long enough to ensure the Big Ten is included in the team when the playoff goes to 8 teams in a couple of years. Right now, even the Big 2, little 10 is looking pretty sad. Sparty got blasted in the 2nd half, Ohio State has a ton of growing to do, scUM is a dying program, the Pedsters won't recover for at least another couple years, Nebraska will never be what it once was and Wisconsin can never seem to finish.

Ugly all around. The Big Ten automatically loses the narrative battle anyway, but last night gave all of the idiots even more ammo. Eventually stupid narratives like that produced by E$$$$ECPN and the like become reality.

Buckeyes have lots of talent, but they won't be seeing a national championship game in the future unless the B1G gets better--undefeated or not. I know that many here disagree with that, but the 12-0 season rankings said a lot about the future. We need the B1G to get better now.

The rub is evident..Meyer and Dantonio vs. Saban Miles Malzahn Spurrier Richt etc. Bert who was considered 3rdin the Big 10 is close to last in the SEC. The Big 10 has to spend the money to get even..they have the cash cow Big 10 network. The bottom teams won't make a comittment to winning in the Big 10.
True, but PSU has already snagged their diamond in the rough. One or two more SEC defections to the big10 and we will catch up!

The conference-wide challenge seems like an elegant solution to us b/c Ohio State is one of the few schools in B10 that makes an effort to schedule decent opponents. This would solve the problem for the schools that make no effort... but I don't think it will work anytime soon in CFB.
Exactly. OSU regularly schedules tough non-conf teams while the rest of them schedule cream puffs.
