So two teams in a pool of 30 or whatever. I just can't do it...

Well, that's not an accurate statement. If the East was equal to the West, this would be a golden age of basketball. As it is, there are quite a few teams in the West worth watching on a regular basis (Suns, Spurs, Jazz, Rockets, Lakers, Mavericks), and none in the East.

Saw some video of Durant today for the first time.
Wow!
I different type of player than Oden.
A Kobe Bryant, offensive type player.
Having said that, we haven't seen a fully healthy Oden, yet!

I don't think Durant will ever be in Kobe's league offensively....or even Lebron James....

I'm intrigued about Durant's future. He is already dominating college ball. He had previously been compared to Kevin Garnett, which is actually very appropriate. But I think he can be better than the Big Ticket. We'll see. But he's going to be a franchise player for somebody ... for years.

Based on what? Durant looks like he is a little bit better prospect than McGrady (little taller, seems to rebound much better). It's pretty obvious that Durant can be a 30 ppg scorer in the NBA given the chance.
