He needs to put on some weight to handle the pounding he'll take in the NBA and believe me he won't be blowing past guys in the NBA like he's doing in college.....

He's closer to Jalen Rose than T-Mac or Kobe....

Since you are so good at predicting the future, then I can only imagine that you knew all along that he would average 30 points a game in college against the Big 12 (as a freshman), but that his game wouldn't translate to the NBA, right? Did you think Kevin Martin of Zanesville Ohio would ever average twenty points a game in the NBA while 6-7, 185?

The leading scorer in the NBA is Carmelo Anthony. He averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds a game in his "super" season at Syracuse. And Garnett was even skinnier than Durant his first two years in the NBA. I'm just not convinced that you have any idea what you're talking about, sorry. Jalen Rose was a PG, for instance. Even if Durant reminds you of Rose, his role isn't even similar to Jalen's.

For the record, I think Oden is still a better professional pick. He'll be consistent and his teams will win. I don't know if Durant makes you a winner...but he will put up lots of points and stats, and he will sell lots of jerseys, which is something.

Compare stats, not even close.

Unfortunately, much of Oden's value is in unmeasureable stats such as altered shots and the such.

Conley would deserve the reward before Oden at this point.

I say Oden has a shot because he's averaging 15 pts, 9 reb, and 3.5 blks yet he still has so much he can improve upon. His stats should only go higher and with high-profile games like @MSU and Wiscy he has a chance to impress the nation. He's still a bit of a longshot though.

I think it is possible for Oden to win as his play impresses people more. Oden is awesome in the post

Yeah but VY was better than Reggie Bush, yet Bush still wowed people early enough that it carried him through to the Heisman.

I'd rather Oden win on the court rather than in the court of public opinion.

I think this would have been a great race had Oden not came into the season with the wrist injury. As it stands, I think it is more Durnat vs. Tucker. But, the injury really has helped Oden and should help us come March. If he comes back to tOSU, he'll only be better for us. If he goes pro, he's improved his skill set.

Don't forget Acie Law...He is like Michael Redd all over again, lefty with the midrange game and can really shoot the ball...

I like Law a lot. Very nice leader and it showed in their w over the Jayhawks on Saturday. Maybe it should be more Durant vs everyone else. Law, Tucker and even Oden in a group trailing Durant.

Law - 16.7 ppg, 5.1/2.7 ast/TO, 2.9 reb, 51% FG (very high when you aren't dunking half your shots)

Durant - 25.3 ppg, 11.5 reb (that's a monster DD average), FG% just under .5

Tucker - 19.8 ppg, 5.1 reb, + ast/TO ratio, .49%FG

The thing is we all know that alot of it comes down to the best player on the best team, and also that voters arent always high on voting for frosh...
