Well, there has been a lot of complaining regarding Matta's recruiting in that he does not bring in the talent from Ohio and all of these guys are from out of state so here is our big chance. I still have not seen the Harris transfer roller be confirmed by multiple sources.

I do not know I really was not that big on Mickey as a basketball player. I will admit that he had a good handle for a player has size but he really did not have that much offensive prowess.

Edit: I have always wondered about Mickey anyhow with the way that his brother left the football program. I have always felt that it might just be a matter of time before Mickey last.

I could be wrong, as I admittedly don't closely follow bball recruiting, but I don't think that is the case for Giddens and Mitchell; as I recall, they were both four-star recruits that were pursued by a number of high-profile programs. I do, however, believe your description fits as to Harris.

I don't think he was an OSU caliber recruit in the last few years of HS. I think he was when he initially verballed. I'm not sure how it should have been handled.

I'm not fond of the "OMG BIG PROBZ YO!!" conspiracies. I think Thad had the best talent in the midwest for the better part of a decade, and then the Amir class signed and the success, effort and winning eroded. I think if Thad signed a few ballers, and got Chris Jent back, they'd go back to being a top-5 B1G team pretty quickly. I think he's very capable of that.

I would agree with this. I do think some sort of changes are needed if we are going to improve again. Somehow the staff as a whole needs to improve the level of player brought in over what we have seen the past few years. I definitely do not want to see Thad go, but his supporting cast may need to improve.
