if it is indeed mayfield, I will posit the following:
1. it shows the browns aren't dumb enough to take josh allen
2. it shows the front office has a giant set of brass balls as this could very well be a pick that gets people fired in a few years.
3. it will be fabulous to watch all the talking heads that were fawning all over the fact that the browns brought in all these respected "football guys" like wolf and highsmith along with dorsey, shit themselves when the browns pick the analytics wet dream that is baker mayfield #1 overall.
...so you like the pick.
I think it’s more to trade out of 4, I don’t think they think Chubb will still be thereI'd take Mayfield over Allen, that's for sure. Frankly, I think this is a smoke screen or an attempt to drum up a trading partner, to get out of the #1 pick. Which, in my view of this draft class, isn't such a bad idea. Guess we'll know soon enough.

I'll be honest, and I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't HATE the idea of them taking Mayfield. I have never been high on Darnold. And while I think Rosen is probably the "safest" bet, I'm not sold that he'll be elite. I think Mayfield is a punk, but he's had to work for everything he's ever had, has the motor/drive, and despite lacking ideal size, I think he has a good enough arm and the best accuracy of the bunch.
So how excited are Buckeye fans about the possibility of Oklahoma and Penn State as Cleveland's starting backfield?
