I have seen some mock where the Browns take Hurst(from you know where) with their first pick in the second round or possibly even on a move up into the low first. As long as these guys produce in the pros I do not care where they play their college football.

They aren't picking Barkley. They signed Hyde.

I don't think Taylor is the long term answer, but I do think the Mayfield crap is, as @AKAK said, a bullshit smokescreen.

That said, if for some reasons the planets align and they do go with Mayfield and Barkley for some stupid reason:

If they win, I don't care.

If they suck, I don't care because they won't be there that long.

Colt McCoy's style of play won Browns fans over in short order. Problem was, Colt McCoy couldn't play.

If Mayfield is the next Drew Brees or Russell Wilson, then he'll be a great pick. If he's a younger, slightly better version of Tyrod Taylor (very probable), then he's a wasted pick at #1 overall.

All I'm gonna say is, when I heard the Ravens weren't converting Taylor to a WR or Slash.... I was rather shocked, honestly.

I don't think any of the QBs in this draft are worth the #1 pick, even a top 5 pick.

Could actually see Lamar Jackson end up being the "most successful" in that Tyrod Taylor mold. Without the lofty pick status.
