I am incredibly hopeful Kitchens finds sustained success here. That presser yesterday showed he's not the most polished guy in the world but he truly loves the game of football and connecting with his players. He just comes off as very genuine and real. Basically the anti-Hue.

I’m with you. I don’t care how polished the guy is. That’s further down my list. #1 on the list is “good football coach.”

I'm hopeful as well, but I got a nagging Jim Tomsula vibe at times from him. Like I said when they hired him, promoting a guy who was a little known position coach with a half a season of playcalling under his belt is a significant risk. He does have a good relationship with Baker, so that's a good start.

He has hired a pretty good staff, that should help; and, it's not like there was much of a field to chose from. I can't recall a hiring cycle with so many "meh" and so few "hot" options in recent memory.

I'm trusting Dorseys gut
I speak as a Cowboys fan, Cleveland is in much better shape (QB, head coach, and front office) as a franchise than most every team in the NFL right now including the Cowboys! You've hired a GM who's won in Green Bay and Kansas City, you've drafted exceptionally well the last two years, and you now have a franchise QB that you've lacked since you were reintroduced to the NFL 20 years ago. With the Steelers in decline now, and the Patriots probably the next team to falter, I would be shocked if Cleveland didn't sniff an AFC title in a few years with the direction you're headed.
