The upcoming draft is something out of 'Draft Day'. Wow, not sure how they did it, but the Brownies have a plethora of number one/two picks. With as many holes in their lineup as they've got, would really like them to come up with some All-Pro type players. Course history shows that it won't happen, but hey. There's always hope. I'd recommend trading the #1 for two other first round picks, and getting some serviceable starters. Surely the Browns are waaaaay under the salary cap, or their players have underperformed for their wages.......uhhhh, might have answered my own question. Hope springs eternal, and I still fondly remember the Jimmy Brown, Lou Groza, Brian Sipe, Bernie Kosar, years, when the Brownies were competitive, and other teams didn't want to visit the Colesium (haven't been to the new park yet). Now if they could just get Kevin Costner to GM the team.....Go Bucks!

This team is already extremely young and I do not think you want to get any younger plus I do not advocate trading the #1 pick just to get 2 picks later in the first-round. That could be done by trading a second round pick and a fourth-round pick to move back up into the first round if that is what you want to do.

The only name we aren't seeing linked to the #1 pick at this point is Rosen. So, going by the "the sports media is populated by a bunch of ill-informed mooks" theory, Josh Rosen will be your #1 pick.

Fuck it, take Darnold at 1 and Rosen at 4.

This one is legit. I actually think Dorsey likes Mayfield and I believe it's down to either him or Darnold.

I don't expect Rosen in the least.

I've expected Darnold for months, partly because of how he and Rosen responded differently to the "Cleveland" question. I wouldn't even consider Mayfield.

But, from an entertainment standpoint, taking a QB at 1 and at 4 would be gold. Whether it would actually benefit the Browns is debatable.

They may be asking themselves if Mayfield has enough attributes to overcome Darnold, but that's just doing homework. I think its Darnold too. I've never bought the "Well they can sit Allen for a year because they have Taylor" argument, who knows if he only needs a year... he's got a lot of problems in low competition environments. Now, they may see the obvious physical skill set and still take him. Heck they might take Rosen, the reality is, that no one actually knows except John Dorsey... but my feeling is that Darnold has been in the one slot since the beginning and someone else will have to be clearly better to change that.

Well, you can't take a chance like that if you're the Browns. You have to trade 2 second rounders - hell maybe the rest of the draft - to move up from 4 to 2 to make sure. There's no price too high to pay to get YOUR [second] GUY.

I think half of these rumors are just to mess with the morons in the media....

I'm too jaded to believe those tables have turned ... but god I wish that were true.

So you're saying there's a chance?

Not sure these are smoke screens anymore. I really think these turds are going to draft Mayfield first overall and then finish their full retard routine and pick Barkley.

Zero impact players in the first four picks? Seems about right.

If they are going to pick the wrong quarterback, I hope it is Mayfield. Let him burn in hell.

Problem is I don't know who the right qb is. All I know is Mayfield isn't a #1 pick kind of QB. Throwing out Russell Wilson and Chase Daniel as examples of short QB's doesn't make a good case. Wilson was an average qb on a great team. Even Drew Brees got run oof his first team before he hit it. I don't know about Allen. He has great measurables and I've heard he's the smartest but I doubt he's Wentz 2. Anyone other than Mayfield and Chubb at 4 and this draft is a win for me.

Agree. Mayfield isn’t a #1 pick guy. Wilson is an exception and he wasn’t taken that high, either. I also don’t want Allen. I’ll take (and stomach) either of Rosen or Darnold but the reports are that neither one is in the Browns’ final two for consideration. Go figure.

Why no on Chubb?

Guess it's meant separate as "at #1- Anybody but Mayfield" and "at #4 Chubb" is a win.

I would agree with that, but this whole draft is a mess.
