Great article. His description of Pittsburgh people fits Nutty to a T.:)

I know the article was supposed to be humorous but if Webster Slaughter Would have run the correct route on Byner's the Browns would have recovered the fumble because the Denver guy who did recover it would have been in the back of the end zone:(

Actually, when Jason Campbell was drafted Savage was trying to move up to get him. At least that was the rumor but you are correct he probably would have taken Russell.

Pretty sure we'd be worse off with Russell than Anderson/Quinn. Russell is friggin' horrible, Notre Dame elevated his draft stock by crumbling on defense per usual in the BCS bowl. Russell at least has a running back or two that are more effective, their O-line may be as bad though.

But hey....Jamarcus can throw the ball 90 yards while sitting :slappy:

I have no idea why Randy Lerner even had to be asked the question whether it would be a good idea to bring someone with a football mind to head the Browns organization when it comes to football operations. I thought that would have made sense from the beginning.

Cleveland Browns morning news roundup

Reporter John Taylor in cle.scout.com writes the Cleveland Browns are in need of someone to oversee football operations.
In other words, the Browns could use someone in that position who knows football and who will have the final say on everything associated with football.

One possibility is to put an executive in charge of all of football operations, with the team?s head coach and general manager reporting to him. That executive would have bottom-line responsibility and accountability for the team?s football performance.

In response to an email question from TheOBR.com which asked if it made sense to consider hiring a president of football operations or an executive with similar authority, owner Randy Lerner responded as follows:
?There is no question that the Browns need a credible, vocal leader that is accountable for all levels of performance. Regardless of the title, that person, whether they're in the building currently or not, is a priority.?

(Side note on Art Modell: I have so much seething hatred for you that it defies any rational explanation, so I'll just say this: Wherever you are right now, I hope you are sad, alone and in severe physical pain.)
That's harsh, but you won't get any disagreement from me. From firing Paul Brown to Stadium Corp. to yanking out a city's heart, he can rot in fucking hell after a slow, miserable death.

As a Browns fan, I think having a lifetime Steeler (Woodson) spend 5 minutes of his HOF induction speech whoring for Art Modell's induction into the HOF and the chastising the Ohio crowd for booing was much akin to sitting full down on a boat oar and then having it ripped out using a moose antler with no anesthesia.

They can both eat a dick. I don't care if he's 84 years old, if I had the opportunity, I'd punch that fuck right in his fucking snout. Slow, painful, lonely death followed by a hot pitchfork up his ass.

This column is actually kind of funny:

The hard-luck life of a Cleveland Browns fan - ESPN

5. Because one day I'll be able to say, "No more Derek Anderson. Ever." Incidentally, this day cannot possibly come soon enough. It also should not be confused with the organization's stance on Brady Quinn: "No more Brady Quinn. Ever. Because a subpar performance by a third-year QB who's little more than a rookie in terms of experience -- with tenuous coaching staff support after a protracted, unnecessary and unrealistic preseason position competition -- against two currently undefeated juggernauts and three of the top defenses in the league is enough to convince us that there's absolutely no way the kid can play, and we are smart, smart peop ? ooooooh look, a squirrel!"

Stick the pitchfork up his ass BEFORE he dies, will ya?
