Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

There are rebuilds, renovations, and demolition tear downs in the NFL. The Browns are in complete demolition tear down mode. This is from the Bellichek play book. Build through the draft. Win big in year 3. Scott Pioli advised Lerner to do the same but opted for Kansas City. It will get darker before we see some light.

I'm sorry but I just don't think that Mangini is the right man for the job. I mean there are a lot of guys talking about him fining guys $1700 for the three dollar bottle of water.

In addition, if it did not come down from Lerner not to play Quinn until after his escalator clause is no longer good it's rather obvious that Mangini is so headstrong that he doesn't even try to be competitive. I mean what the hell did he have to lose by not putting in Quinn yesterday. He can always go back to is homeboy
next week.

Funny thing is that the Mangenius said at the beginning of the season that he could win with Quinn, then flips to Anderson after 2 games.

you mean he did not tell Lerner to build from the New York Jets:huh: Kansas City isn't making any great moves right now so it will be interesting to watch the two franchises but Cleveland is soooo far back.

You have to understand the tough spot Mangenius is in...ordinarily, you go with the guy that gives you the best chance to win. The Browns, however, have absolutely no chance to win, so really, it is like 2 interchagable parts :slappy:

The Browns are paying for the sins of 4 regimes in 10 years. No long term strategy or stability. We need an NFL QB!! It all starts there. We then need quality draft picks, and some key Free agent signings. Expect more roster turn over this off season. Let's face it, the good news about the NFL it is an 8-8 league. It's built for parody with the NFL Salary cap.

Until Jerry Jones convinces the owners to eliminate it next year, that is.

Someone explain to me how Quinn has gotten better since he was benched? Just because DA sucks doesn't mean that Quinn doesn't suck.

This team is all kinds of suck. I can't even complain about personnel issues.

He threw the ball further than 5 yards past the LOS in practice for the first time? He threw his first career pass in under 6 seconds?

Take a look at the passing yardage between these two. I am too lazy to look it up but it is fairly close and Anderson, most of his yardage against Cincinnati while BQ was playing against Minnesota and Denver.

I agree that the whole team sucks along with the coaching staff:!

I'm sure the owners and players will reach some sort of deal. The NFL cannot afford a MLB structure with only a few teams spending BIG $$$$ (think Dallas and Washington) to win. The salary sap has been the key financial advantage for the NFL. They cannot afford to kill the golden goose IMO.

True, but you need to make some good to great draft picks in order to build through the draft. I'm not sure the Browns had any in last year's draft. It"s still early but there is still next year and beyond to hope for some help. Good lord this is a sad situation.
